The development of agriculture can not go so fast without the support of agricultural equipment, the development of agricultural equipment can promote the pace of development of agricultural mechanization. Field-grown weeds are one of the factors that hinder the growth of crops. The inter-row implement could destroy weeds which growing between rows, with the maximum weeding rate over 90 percent. How to control weeds growing between intra-row plants is one of the most popular research topics at the present, the difficulty for intra-row mechanical weeding is how to minimize crop damage.Intelligent control technology is very important for in-row mechanical weeding machine.At first the equipment uses a digital video camera to capture images of the crop ahead of the toolbar. These images are analyzed to find the positions of the individual plants as they pass through the image. This information is then utilized for driving mechanisms to motion.Intelligent in-row weeding mechanical equipment,which needs to design a new mechanical structure that compatible use with visual recognition systems, intelligent control systems,hydraulic systems to kill the field-grown weeds, is different from normal mechanical weeding machine. Using the advanced equipment, people can easily control weeds growing between plants and almost do not destroy crop. This thesis analyzes the development and research status of mechanical weeding equipment at home and abroad. Using Garford inter-row and inter-plant weeder as a reference object to research and design the intra-row and inter-row equipment.Based on design parameters of the equipment, proposed the overall principle scheme.The mechanical structure was proposed according to the working characteristics of weeding equipment, and then using Solidworks software to model the three-dimensional structure.Carried out detailed design and optimization for the important parts to ensure the machine has good performance.Using ANSYS software to analysis the beam structure strength and former sixth-order modal to ensure a rational design. Using the static analysis module to analysis of the strength of side shift mechanism and steering mechanism, through stress distribution and strain distribution to assess the performance of mechanisms.The rotating disc for intra-row hoeing has a special structure, and it also needs the equipment computer to constantly adjusting the rotational speed of the discs to suit the variability of plant spacing. Using Matlab software to optimal design the rotating disc structure parameters, with the maximum weeding rate over 92 percent. A perfect performance could be achieved for controlling the weeds growing between plants and also could reduce labor intensity.
