Tobacco and corn are important parts of high stalk crop.The labor intensity is large and the working environment is poorin the middle and late stage of high stalk crop management.A small high clearance tracked vehicle with remote control and full hydraulic drive was designed which could be used in the field of tobacco and corn whole growth cycle.The vehicle was designed based on the planting patterns and field operation requirements of tobacco and corn in Henan province.The design of multifunctional operation platform and the production and test of prototype were finished.The preliminary design schemes of transplantingplant protection and cultivation and fertilization fit for the operation platform were completed.The planting situation of tobacco and corn in domestic and foreign,the status of high clearance equipments for tobacco and corn,the status of crawler travel mechanismand hydraulic technology applied in agricultural machinery were analyzed in the begin of this paper.Secondly,The overall design scheme that operation pattern of walking across the top of crops,portal frame structure,main parts placed on both sides of the frame,crawler travel mechanism and full hydraulic drive scheme are adopted for the vehicle.The structure of the vehicle and the crawler travel mechanism and the strength check of the frame were completed.The calculation and selection of hydraulic pumps,hydraulic motors and other major and hydraulic oil tank,hydraulic valve block and other auxiliary hydraulic parts of the hydraulic system were completed.Based on the analysis and comparison of common wireless remote control methods,the remote controller was selected and the function for each batten of theremote controller was allotted according to the hydraulic system.All parts of the vehicle were bough and the prototype was made according to the above design parameters.AMEsim software was used to simulate the performance of hydraulic system.The speeds of the hydraulic motors on both sides under different loads were obtained.The Solid Works software was used to analyze the vehicle centroid position,and the Simulation bus was used to check the strength of the frame under three typical conditions of full load climbing,steering and fertilization.Unistrong G970 high precision satellite differential positioning equipment and other equipmentswere used to test the linear walking and steering performance of the prototype.The formula of Gauss projection was used to calculate the RMC satellite positioning information receivedby the serial software.EXCEL and Mathematica software were used to draw and analyse the steering trajectories.This method could obtain centimeter level steering trajectory information.Finally,Preliminary design scheme of transplantingplant protection and cultivation and fertilization were completed on the basis of the operation platform.The next improvement plan was proposed based on the problems found during the experiments.The structure design of the tracked vehicle,the crawler travel mechanism,the hydraulic system,the remote control scheme and the structure design of transplanting machine plant protection machine and cultivation and fertilization machine were studied in this paper.These researchescould provide some references for the similar machines which were designed to finish the field managements for tobaccocorn and other high stalk crops.
