As an important oil and medicinal crop, the whole genome sequencing of castor has been completed, provides a new opportunity for the comparative genomics study on molecular genetic mechanism. However, the structure and functional evolution of oilrelated genes lacks a comprehensive study. In this study, castor oil-related genes were used as the object.A comparative study of polygene was carried out in nine important plants, such as grape and Arabidopsis thaliana.Based on the Arabidopsis thaliana oilrelated genes as references, the genome-wide homologous comparison was searched in other species. There were 436 genes in castor, and 878 in rape genomes. The whole genome duplication was determined by genome homology structure comparison and genomic collinearity analysis. At the same time, the effect of gene duplication on the change of family gene copy number was also analyzed,Suggesting that all genome duplication and tandem duplication may contribute to the expansion of family members, such as castor oil-related genes 24.31% associated with the whole genome duplication,13.76% associated with tandem duplication,However, the loss of a large number of repetitive genes in different genomes has maintained the number of genes to a certain extent, such as castor oil-related gene relative to the grape loss rate is only 8.21%.Oilrelated gene multi-genome joint phylogenetic analysis found that such genes in castor are relatively conservative;Phylogenetic analysis of oil-related genes in castor genome found that some genes are relatively fast evolution rate. The reason for this result may be that the genes were related to positively choice.PFAM and GO databases were used to classify the oil-related genes.Found that family genes expect maintaining the main structural features and also shown a structural and functional diversity evolution process. In summary, the research on the structure and function evolution of the oil-related genes in castor, the more comprehensive multi-genome comparison study, deepened the understanding of the genetic evolution of oil and fat metabolism pathways, also be an important genomics support for the improvement of crop fat and oil properties.
