| Sainfoin was a short period herbaceous perennid which belongs to leguminosae family,onobrychis genus that possessed the characteristics of cold,drought,salt tolerance,strong resistance,wide adaptability,root system developed and good regeneration.Sainfoin was called " the queen of forage " in which had protein,amino acids,crude fat,minerals and tannin.It used for succulence,silage,stover,processing grass meal and many other grass products.Sainfoin also was nectar plant,green space and slope protection plant.The germplasm resources of sainfoin in China were very limited,and the number of sainfoin varieties which was registered and certified was very small,aging,low yield and poor quality,the breadth and depth of the study on sainfoin was smaller than that of the alfalfa.With the development of herbivorous animal husbandry and the increasing demand for protein forage,the requirement for new sainfoin varieties was mounting.Consequently,the import of high yield,quality and strong resistance to the sainfoin material was an important aspect of expanding the genetic basis of domestic sainfoin varieties effectively.It was a great significance to improve the agronomic characters of the varieties,shorten the breeding period,accelerate the breeding process,and expand the breeding materials.In this study,the cold resistance,salt tolerance,drought resistance and nutritional value of different materials which were ZXY2010p-7369,ZXY2003p-132,ZXY2007p-3423,ZXY2005p-623,ZXY2003p-147 that imported from Russia and the domestic certification and registration of Mongnong and Gansu sainfoin were studied systematically.The results were as follows:(1)The results showed that with the increasing degree of drought stress,plant height,leaf relative water content and chlorophyll content were significantly decreased,while MDA,soluble sugar,soluble protein and proline content increased significantly.Through the analysis of drought resistance,it was found that the sequence of drought resistance was ZXY2003p-147 > ZXY2003p-132 =ZXY2005p-623> ZXY2007p-3423> ZXY2010p-7369> Gansu sainfoin> Mengnongsainfoin.(2)Under salt stress,the content of chlorophyll in different materials decreased with the increase of salt stress,and the decrease degree of ZXY2010p-7369 was lower than that of other materials.The content of proline and MDA in leaves increased with salt stress increasing,the content of proline in ZXY2007p-3423 increased significantly,and the content of MDA in ZXY2005p-623 increased slightly.Through the comprehensive analysis of the membership function,the salt tolerance of the 7materials was ZXY2003p-147 > ZXY2005p-623=ZXY2003p-132 >ZXY2007p-3423 > ZXY2010p-7369 > Gansu sainfoin > Mengnong sainfoin.(3)The overwintering rate,soluble sugar,soluble protein,proline,MDA content,CAT and POD activity were measured under field conditions in the late autumn to early spring.Research showed that the contents of soluble sugar,soluble protein and proline,CAT and POD activity of all the root materials increased with the decrease of temperature,and decreased with the increase of temperature,while the content of MDA decreased.Based on the analysis of cold hardiness,the order of cold resistance was ZXY2003p-132 >ZXY2010p-7369 >Mengnong sainfoin >Gansu sainfoin>ZXY2003p-147> ZXY2005p-623> ZXY2007p-3423.(4)The contents of crude protein,neutral detergent fiber,acid detergent fiber,crude fat,tannin,calcium and phosphorus in different growth stages and materials were studied under field conditions.Research showed that with the growth stage processing the content of crude protein,tannin and P decreased,and the contents of NDF,ADF,Ca and crude fat increased,grey relational analysis showed that ZXY2010p-7369 and ZXY2003p-147 performed best.Combined with drought resistance,cold resistance and salt tolerance,we could know that ZXY2010p-7369 had good cold resistance and good quality,ZXY2003p-147 had good drought,salt resistance and good quality which provided excellent materials for breeding new sainfoin varieties with strong resistance and good quality. |
