The effect of adding restrictive amino acids, lysine and methionine on nutrient digestibility, and the serum biochemical indicators and production performance by weaner sika deer were studied, thus providing a theoretical basis for the amino acid balance diet preparation for weaner sika deer.Experiment I: Twenty-four weaner sika deer were randomly divided into 3 groups,Ⅰ,and ⅡⅢ with 8 replicates per group.Animals in GroupⅠwere fed a concentrate supplement containing 17.60% of crude protein,in group Ⅱcontaining 14.37% of crude protein plus 0.3% lysine, and animals in group wereⅢ fed a concentrate supplement containing 17.60% of crude protein diet plus 0.3% lysine.Five days before the end of the experiment, feeding trial was conducted. The results are as follows:1.Dry matter digestibility of diet for groupsⅠand differed signifiⅢ cantly(P<0.05).Crude protein digestibility differed significantly(P<0.05)with that for groupⅠwas the highest, the groupⅡwas the lowest.Organic matter and ether extract digestibility was not affected by treatments(P>0.05).2.The total protein(TP),globulin(GLOB),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),glucose(GLU),alanine transaminase(ALT),asparte aminotransferase(AST)and alkaline phosphatase(AKP)of serum did not differ significantly among treatments(P>0.05).Serum albumin for group Ⅲwas significantly higher than that for groupⅠ(P<0.05).3.There were significant differences in the glutamate(Glu),serine(Ser),valine(Val),isoleucine(Ile),leucine(Leu)and lysine(Lys)of serum(P<0.05),and the group Ⅱwas the lowest, besides leucine the content for group Ⅰwas the highest.4.There were no significant differences in body weight gain, average daily weight gain and feed to gain ratio(P>0.05).Experiment 2: Experimental animals used in Experiment 1 were continuously used in Experiment II and grouping was the same as experiment I.Animals in groupⅠwere fed a concentrate supplement containing 14.16% of crude protein,in group Ⅱ,12.46% crude protein plus 0.16% of methionine, and animals in group Ⅲwere fed a concentrate supplement containing 12.46% of crude protein plus 0.12% methionine.Three days before the end of the experiment, feeding trial was conducted. The results are as follows:1.Dry matter digestibility of weaner sika deer for group Ⅰand have significant Ⅲdifference, and that for group Ⅲwas significantly higher than that for group Ⅰ(P<0.05).There were significant differences in crude protein digestibility among treatments(P<0.05).Organic matter and ether extract digestibility were not affected by treatment(P>0.05),but the value for group Ⅱwas the highest, and group Ⅰwas the lowest.2.There were no significant differences in total protein(TP),globulin(GLOB),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),glucose(GLU),alanine transaminase(ALT),asparte aminotransferase(AST)and alkaline phosphatase(AKP)of weaner sika deer(P>0.05).Serum albumin(ALB)for Group Ⅲwas significantly higher than that for groupⅠ(P<0.05).3.There were significant differences in the Glutamate(Glu),alanine(Ala)and isoleucine(Ile)levels among groups(P<0.05),and that for the groupⅠwas the highest, for group Ⅲwas the lowest.4.Body weight gain, average daily weight gain and feed to gain ratio of weaner sike deer were not affected by treatments(P>0.05).The results of the experiment suggested that the addition of 0.16% methionine into the concentrate containing 12.46% of crude protein was better.
