Katsuwonus pelamis is an important part of fishery resource, which may affect tens of thousands people's livelihood. However, both the worldwide lacking of fishery resource and the overfishing cause the decreasing catches which can no longer fulfill the demand.According to the ecological condition of the Katsuwonus pelamis, the efficient protection should be taken also with the prediction to the fishermen.Instead of the high-costing traditional ecological survey method, the fisheries acoustic has become the main method, which mainly including the sonar detection technology and the ultrasonic biotelemetry system.Among them, the sonar detection technology claims to be one of the primary methods of the investigation on marine ecological environment to appease the pressing need to research on the praxiology and physiology of aquatic organisms. In this paper, the recovery type passive monitoring system is used to monitor the Katsuwonus pelamis in the surrounding maters of Yonaguni. The receivers need to be set an the researching spots,in which case, the fish aggregating device in the maters are set with these receivers to study the movements of Katsuwonus pelamis between the devices. After two-month data collection, detailed information can be gotten. Also, the Data processing program(DHP)is used to improve the efficiency during the data analysis(DA).However, the recovery type passive monitoring system fails to transfer data promptly. In that case, the communication type passive monitoring system has been designed based on it to transfer data wirelessly,of which the data proved to be accurate and effective. With this morel system, not only the long-scale long detection but also the timely data transmission to the base station can be achieved, which incredibly improve the efficiency of the ecological survey.Meanwhile, this system can also be applied to the ecological reasearches on other migratory aquatic organisms.
