The original aim of rectangular baler designed is to facilitate forage to gather,transport and store.Rectangular balers are introduced from abroad,it is used to harvest forage,which has gave so much convenience to farmers and greatly improved the development of stockbreeding.With the emergence of the difficult problem for domestic corn straw disposed and people attach importance to biomass energy,the harvest of corn stalk for baling has been becoming a mainstream.The small rectangular baler of picking up corn stalk have a large proportion.Corn stalk will be sheared at the entrance of chamber.So it is very important to study the performance of cutting for improving the quality of bales,reducing the wear of blades and saving the energy etc.According to the cutting theory of against a counter-edge,the cutting process was analyzed in theory.Simulating the work process of blade in chamber,Crank slider cutting testing equipment was designed.And multi-factor and a series of single factor experiments were conducted by the test rig.Conclusions are as follows:(1)By the force analysis and high-speed camera,some conclusion could be drawn.The compressed stalk is simultaneously cut along the cutting edges at sliding-cutting angle of 0°;corn stalk is cut from underneath to top of the“V”cross section(compressed by the edges)at sliding-cutting angle of 15°;sliding-moving cutting occurs at sliding-cutting angle of 30°.When the moisture content of corn stalk is high(65%),the stalk was cut with avulsion of tissue and the rind of corn stalk cannot be cut off,the cutting is mainly completed by moving blade.When the moisture content of corn stalk is low(15%),the cross section of cut stalk is trim and the cutting is better participated by counter-edge.The cutting quality is improved when the velocity of knife is high.(2)Based on the above research,sliding-cutting angle,the moisture content,cutting frequency and cutting position were chosen as the experimental factors,the cutting power consumption was determined as the evaluation index.Then,the experiment was conducted.The results reveal the sequence of influence on the evaluation index is cutting position,moisture content,cutting frequency,sliding-cutting angle.The first internode(the root)is selected as the cutting position,the optimistic combination of other factors can be obtained when the moisture is different.Considering the actual situation,the moisture content of corn stalk is 20%,when sliding-cutting angle is 23°,cutting frequency is 90 times per minute,the cutting performance is best,the power consumption is 35.8J.The result is also verified by experiment.(3)A comparative experiment was conducted to study the cutting power consumption when cutting the nodes and internodes in different positions of a whole corn stalk.The regression model that between cutting power consumption and cutting position was got.Some conclusions can be obtained from the curve of experimental data:The cutting power consumption at nodes and internodes are decreased from the first part to the ninth part,The cutting power consumption of the first node is more than 2 times that of the first node,and the cutting power consumption of the ninth node and the ninth internode is almost the same..(4)In order to explore the law between cutting power consumption and the amount of corn stalk split,the whole corn stalk was spilt two parts,three parts,four parts,five parts along the radial direction,corn stalk split were matched then cut respectively.The regression model that between cutting power consumption and the amount of the split parts was got.Some conclusions can be obtained from the curve of experimental data:With the increase of the number of corn stalk split,the cutting power consumption decreased,the cutting power consumption decreased 40 percent of all energy when the corn stalk was spilt five parts.
