Non-destructive Determination is the technologies which don't destroy samples themselves to get samples internal information by means of detection methods.Dielectric properties are the response characteristics the bound charge in biological molecules that reflected by the external electric field.This work makes a summary of research and development status that dielectric properties and network made in the agriculture.What's more,the paper introduces the theoretical basis and firstly adopts the network established by genetic algorithm optimizing LS-SVM to the melons' sweetness dielectric properties determination.Firstly,the work verified the feasibility that adopted dielectric properties to study the melons' sweetness,and established the relationship between pulp resistance rate and pulp sugar veolume.Secondly,on the basis of the preliminary study,the article established the resistance mathematical model from the melon's center which avoided the error melon's skin brought.The result showed that the model in this work were better.The paper established the network that adopted genetic algorithm to optimize least squares support vector machine,and used the network to measure the melons' sugar.The.resistance and the capacitance were as input,and the sweetness' degree was as output.The results noted that the algorithm adopted in this paper had better accuracy than other algorithms such as BP.RBF.BP optimized by GA etc.What's more,the algorithm had better performances which can guide the melons' industry.
