In order to explore the effect of zinc and boron fertilizer on corn growth and yield of regulatory mechanism under the condition of drought stress,A pot experiment using two different maize hybrid ZD958(drought resistance)and YD606(drought sensitive)was conducted during 2014 and 2015.The effect zinc and boron on the summer maize growth and development and yield.The main results are as follows:1.The treatment of zinc and boron can significantly promote the growth and development of maize.Under drought stress,The treatment of W-Zn?W-B?W-Zn+B of ZD958 and YD606 plant height than in control(D-CK)respectively increased by 10.4%,15.8%,10.0% and 15.8%,1.7%,7.9%;Mature leaf area of two varieties of three processing than control increased by 17.8%,19.9%,19.3% and 17.8% respectively,2.2%,11.7%;Chlorophyll and dry matter accumulation decreased,and the application of zinc and boron fertilizer can alleviate the adverse effects of drought stress on growth,reduce the amplitude of plant height,spike position,leaf area index,chlorophyll and dry matter accumulation.The transfer of the grain was increased,the root-shoot ratio and the drought resistance was improved.2.The application of Zinc and boron under drought stress can improve the yield of summer maize significantly,The treatment of W-Zn?W-B?W-Zn+B of ZD958 and YD606 compare to W-CK increased by 7.1%?12.6%?6.2% and 10.2%?17.5%?14.3%.Under drought stress,ZD958 and YD606 yield decreased by 14.2% and 14.2%,but the use of zinc and boron fertilizer can significantly increase yield,The treatment of W-Zn?W-B?W-Zn+B than control respectively increase 9.9%,15.5%,11.8% and 14.2%,6.3%,12.7%.3.The application of Zinc and boron can promote the development of maize grain.With the promotion of growth and growth process,the grain volume and dry weight of ZD958 and YD606 were increasing.Under normal conditions,zinc boron fertilizer can increase the grain volume and dry weight higher than the control,significantly.Under drought stress,the application of zinc boron fertilizer treatment could significantly increase grain dry weight,but the increase of grain volume of maize was not significant under drought conditions.The treatment of D-Zn?D-Zn+B?D-B of grain dry weight compare to D-CK increased by 30.5%?14.9%?48.7% and 14.9%?7.1%?51.7%,respectively.To the later period of grain dry weight of regulation is shown as: D-Zn?D-Zn+B ?D-B.4.The application of zinc and boron can improve the soluble sugar content of grain.With the promotion of growth and growth process,soluble sugar content in grains of ZD958 and YD606 showed a trend of first decline.Under normal conditions,zinc boron fertilizer can significantly affect the soluble sugar content of maize,and increase the soluble sugar content under drought stress.the soluble sugar content was increased by 25.3 %?30.8 % and 22.6 % compared with D-CK after silking.The treatment of D-Zn+B?D-B of grain soluble sugar content,respectively than control(D-CK)of YD606 increased by 13.6% and 15.7%.respectively.The effect of treatment on soluble sugar content in grains was: D-B?D-Zn+B?D-Zn.5.The application of Zinc and boron under normal conditions can significantly increase the content of zinc and boron in grain.The treatment of W-Zn?W-Zn+B of ZD958 and YD606 increased,but the difference did not reach significant level.Under drought conditions,zinc content of two varieties increased,zinc content in leaves increased under drought conditions,and increased zinc content in leaves of D-B and D-Zn+B were significant level.The treatment of W-B?W-Zn+B were significantly increased compared with the control,and the kernel content of ZD958 and YD606 decreased significantly under drought conditions.Under drought conditions,the application of Zinc and boron can alleviate the boron content reduced by drought,and increase the boron content in grain.6.The effect of Zn application on endogenous hormone content in maize grain under drought stress.ABA content in grains of ZD958 and YD606 showed a trend of first decline after silking.The contents of ZR,GA and IAA were increased after silking.Under drought stress,ABA,ZR and GA in the kernel of two maize varieties decreased,and the IAA content in kernel increased.The application of zinc fertilizer decreased the content of ABA,ZR and GA in grains,and decreased the variation amplitude of IAA content,and promoted grain development and yield.7.The optimal amount of boron fertilizer under normal conditions is: 0.62 mg / kg.Proper amount of boron fertilizer can promote the growth and development of summer maize,significantly increase leaf area index,dry matter accumulation and boron fertilizer can promote the transport of dry matter to ear.Application of boron fertilizer can promote the differentiation of maize ear,shorten the gap between male and female,significantly increase the growth rate of the number of filaments and silk,and increase the number of grains per spike.Application of boron fertilizer significantly increased the yield of summer maize,and the effects of different amounts were different: The treatment of 0.62 mg / kg effect was the best,the yield of ZD958 and YD606 increased by 14.3 % and 17.4 %,respectively.When the application rate was 2.48 mg / kg,the yield increased 3.5 %,while YD606 produced toxic symptoms,the yield decreased by 4.4 %.
