Tea is the main economic crop of Ankang city, and Ziyang county,Pingli county and Hanbin district are the main cultivation regions, with an area of 40,000 hm2.The tea lace bug,Stephanits chinensis Drake(Hemiptera:Tingidae),attacking tea leaf, resulted in slow growth, tea defoliation increased, and the yield and quality of tea have been seriously affected. If not timely control, decreasing of the yield will more than 50%within two years, for three years can cause harmful leaves above 90%.The tea lace bug was first discovered at Ziyang county in 2010 and occurred at Hanbin district and Langao county in 2014.S.chinensis has occurred in the city more than 9 thousand hm2 areas by the end of 2015.The rapid and harmful effects of the tea lace bug at Ankang city have been concerned by the local government and agricultural technology departments. The occurrence regularity, the reason of occurrence and chemical control of S.chinensis were studied, and a set of integrated control measure for the tea lace bug was put forward and applied in Ankang tea region. The main achievements are as follows:1.The occurrence degree and characteristics of S.chinensis in Ankang tea region were studied. The tea lace bug caused damage at 19 villages(communities)of 5 towns in the Hanbin district in 2015,which accounted for 58.5%of total tea area.On the other hand, the occurrence area of S.chinensis accounted for 83.6%of total tea area at Ziyang county in 2015 and the tea lace bug almost occurred at the county in 2016.The tea lace bug had the characteristics of large occurrence area, large amount of occurrence and heavy damage in Ankang tea region.2.In Ankang tea region,S.chinensis occurred three generations per year, and the incubation period of each generation was in the middle and late April, the middle and late August and the middle of October, respectively. The first generation neatly occurred throughout the year and has a large amount of occurrence. The tea lace bug serious occurred when the climate conditions were 21-23 ? and relative humidity 75%-80%.3.The hatching period of nymphs of S.chinensis was the key period of chemical control.S.chinensis was effectively controlled by 25%actara(thiamethoxam),0.5%matrine,2.5%bifenthrin,10%imidacloprid,0.5%veratramine,respectively,but not by 22%Avi spirodiclofen.Tea garden was firstly sprayed with one insecticide;the other insecticide was sprayed after seven days.4.The ecological control strategy for S.chinensis was also developed based on the above research results:persist in the idea that the agricultural control is the basal measures, ameliorate the tea garden environment, and exert the potential for the natural regulation of the tea garden community to suppress the pest;carry on the physical control;rationally execute the chemical control. The ecological control technique system has been extended in Ankang tea region, and the results are very well.
