Spatial pattern is one of the important contents in the study of soil animal community ecology, which is the important basis for the study of the biodiversity maintenance of soil animal community. At present, there are few researches on the spatial pattern of soil animals. The correlation between the spatial pattern of surface and underground soil animals is to be further studied. The study was carried out in a natural secondary forest in Maoershan Forest Ecological Station,Heilongjiang Province.3samples were set up(5m×5m)(Sample A,Sample B,Sample C)in 2014-2015,each sample were equally divided into 25 squares with 1m ×1m subplots.Based on geostatistical methods to reveal the characteristics of the spatial pattern of the Coleoptera adult communities and soil Collembola communities, and discuss the dynamic characteristics of spatial pattern of surface and underground soil animal. The main results are as follows:(1)The study totally captured 1021 Coleoptera adults belong to 11 families,and4786 soil Collembola belong to 9 families?34 species. In the small scale conditions, the Coleoptera adult communities and soil Collembola communities still showed a higher richness.Species composition and individuals are not the same between Coleoptera adult and soil Collembola, indicating a strong spatial variability of Coleoptera adult and soil collembolan communities in small scale.Species composition and individual number of soil animal are different in different surveies, which showed there was the temporal dynamic of soil animal community structure.(2)Soil animals have obvious spatial autocorrelation, and the spatial distribution pattern is obvious at a small scale. The spatial autocorrelation index showed that soil animal communities and part of the dominant species showed significant multi-scale spatial autocorrelations. And the spatial patter of aggregated and isolated patches coexisting was the typical patters of Coleoptera adults and soil Collembolan communities in natrual secondary forest. The semivariance analysis showed that Coleoptera adults and soil Collembola were fitted into linear model?exponential model ?spherical model and gaussian model. And thelinear model occupied a certain proportion in the soil animal community level and species level, which showed pure nugget effect and random distribution. The spatial correlation of soil animal species is mainly controlled by structural factors or random factors. In different soil layers, the spatial correlation is different. And the spatial relationship between soil animal species has temporal dynamic characteristics. This study in natural secondary forest of Maoer Mountains, based on statistical analysis methods, showed that soil animals have significant spatial autocorrelation and spatial pattern in the small scale, and the spatial pattern had temporal dynamics. In addition, this study can only show the spatial extent of 5 m×5 m in Coleoptera adult community and soil Collembola community multi scale spatial autocorrelation characteristics, and the studies of the larger or smaller spatial scale should be further performed.
