The Terminalia mantaly seedlings has the characteristics of strong resistance,wide adaptability,high aesthetic ornamental value and economic value,which can be used for the introduction of landscape trees in garden garden.In this study,the effects of different concentrations of salt stress(CK,0.2%,0.4%,0.6%,0.8%,1.0%)on the growth characteristics,physiological and biochemical characteristics of annual growth Teryminalia mantaly by pot experiment.And the mechanism of response to leaf stress was discussed.Research indicates(1)Terminalia mantaly seedlings was a salt-tolerant tree species.The survival rate of Terrminalia mantaly seedlings was 100%at low salt concentration(0%-0.2%).In medium and high salt(0.4%-0.6%),The survival rate over 85%.decreased significantly with the increase of salt concentration.(2)The growth characteristics of plant height,ground diameter,leaf length and leaf area of Terminalia mantaly seedlings were significantly decreased with the increase of salt concentration,and the decrease was significant with the increase of treatment time.However,under the same concentration of salt treatment,the plant height was affected by the low concentration of salt(0.2%),and the influence degree of plant height was greater than that of ground diameter.(3)Under salt stress,the osmotic adjustment substances showed different differences of Terminalia mantaly seedlings.The soluble sugar content decreased with the increase of salt concentration at the early stage of treatment,and increased with the increase of salt concentration at the later stage of treatment.The soluble protein content increased with the increase of salt concentration.The content of free proline was significantly increased with the increase of salt concentration at different concentrations of salt,and the content of free proline increased significantly with the increase of salt concentration.(4)Under the salt stress,MDA content,POD,SOD and CAT activities of the protective enzyme system showed a different response.SOD activity decreased with the increase of salt concentration,and the activity of MDA,CAT and POD increased with the increase of salt concentration and increased with time.(5)Under different salt concentrations,the chlorophyll content of Terminalia mantaly seedlings decreased with the increase of salt concentration and the difference was not significant at the beginning of treatment.(6)Through the comprehensive analysis of the study,salt stress on the growth and physiological and biochemical characteristics of Terminalia mantaly have different effects on the overall performance of the inhibition.The leaflets were well grown at a salt concentration of 0.2%-0.4%.Compared with other species,the salt tolerance of Terminalia mantaly was stronger,and it was suitable for introduction as a tree species for improved saline soil.
