In this paper,juvenile Nibea albiflora was chosen as the research object.A series of three experiments were conducted to study the effect of fermented soybean meal instead of fishmeal on the growth performance and the serum metabonomics preliminary analysis of juvenile Nibea albiflora.The results obtained can be briefly summarized as the following three parts.1.Effect of fermented soybean meal substitute of fish meal on growth performance,serum biochemical indices of juvenile yellow drum(Nibea albflora).An 8-week feed trial was conducted to evaluate the effect of fermented soybean meal(FSM)substitute of fishmeal on the growth performance,serum biochemical indices of juvenile yellow drum(Nibea albflora)and to determine the appropriate level of fermented soybean meal replacement of fish meal in juvenile N.albflora feed.A 45% fishmeal basal diet was formulated using Peru fish meal,soybean meal and wheat meal as main protein source,and fish oil,soybean oil and soybean lecithin as main lipid source.Six isonitrogenous(protein level was 50%)and isolipidic(lipid level was 12%)experimental diets were formulated by replacing 0(FSM0,as control group),10%(FSM10 group),20%(FSM20 group),30%(FSM30 group),40%(FSM40 group)and 50%(FSM50 group)fish meal with FSM on the basis of the basal diet,respectively.All diets were supplemented with lysine and methionine except the control group diet to keep the lysine and methionine consistent in each group.The initial weight of juvenile yellow drum was(31.24±0.02)g.The results showed that the weight gain and specific growth rate of fish fed FSM40 and FSM50 group were significantly lower than those of fish fed FSM0 group(P<0.05),however,the feed conversion rate of fish fed FSM40 and FSM50 were significantly higher compared with that of fish fed FSM0 group(P<0.05).No significant differences were observed in the HSI,VSI and CF(P>0.05).With the increase of replacement proportion of fish meal by FSM,the glutaminc oxalacetic transaminase(AST)activities of fish fed FSM40 and FSM50 were significantly higher than those of fish fed FSM0 to FSM 30 and the fish fed FSM50 had a significantly higher glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(ALT)activities compared to that of fish fed FSM0 and FSM10(P<0.05).Overall,The appropriate substitute range of fermented soybean meal replacement of fish meal are 20%~30%,high replacement ratio will cause growth performance and feed efficiency decreased.2.The effects of replacing fish meal with fermented soybean meal on muscle amino acids,liver IGF-I expression and liver histopathological of juvenile Nibea albiflora.This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of replacing fish meal with fermented soybean meal on amino acids in muscle and expression of IGF-I in liver of juvenile Nibea albiflora.The analysis results of amino acid(AA)in muscle indicates that there were no significant difference between valine and methionine,other amino acids(except valine and methionine)were positively correlated with the replacement level.The fish fed FSM50 group had a significantly lower IGF-I mRNA expression level compared to those of other groups(P<0.05);Histopathological study showed liver cells were damaged severely with the increase of the replacement.In the group FSM50,the outlines of liver cells are only barely visible and loss of nuclei.Overall,in this test,replacing fish meal with fermented soybean meal can effectively improve accumulate amino acids in the juvenile Nibea albiflora,however,the replacement ratio cannot be too high,otherwise it will reduce the expression of IGF-I in the liver and muscle.3.The effect of fermented soybean meal instead of fishmeal on a serum metabonomics preliminary analysis of juvenile Nibea albiflora.Fishmeal is one of the most important protein source in aquatic feed.Therefore,developing on efficient and competitive replacement of fish meal has become a hot issue in aquatic nutrient research field.Recently,metabolomics was one of the powerful technique that has been used for broaden the prospect in the relationship between nutrients and body,feed nutrition effect of animal and the development of fermented feed.In this study,we tried to explore the effect of supplement of fermented soybean meal instead of regular fishmeal on hematologic metabolomics of Nibea albiflora.We found 275 metabolites were affected by the meal substitute and several metabolic pathways were changed according to our prediction.Among the metabolic pathway,Nibea albiflora showed upregulated metabolism on propionic acid,which suggested us many advantages of the fermented soybean meal through analysis and may need to validate with advanced biological approaches in the future.
