In order to study the differences in production performance and quality of oats in different production areas of Gansu Province,this experiment was conducted in April to October 2017 in Junma Second Field in Shandan County,Shuangchagou Town in Tianzhu County and Huajialing Township in Tongwei County.Gannan Prefecture Cooperative Affiliation studied the changes in production performance and quality of five varieties of oats,including Longyan 3,Bayou 3,Qingyin 2,Baiyan 7,and Baiyan 2.The main findings are as follows:(1)The producing area had a very significant influence on fresh grass yield,hay yield,fresh dry ratio and plant height in oat filling stage.The fresh oat grass yield was the highest in Shandan and the lowest in huajialing,and there were significant differences among different yield intervals.The fresh grass yield of shuangchagou is 23.86% lower than that of Shandan,57.61% lower than that of Shandan in cooperation and 82.27% lower than that of Shandan in huajialing.The changes of oat hay yield,fresh dry ratio and plant height are consistent with fresh grass yield.There was significant difference in fresh-dry ratio among the five tested varieties.the fresh-dry ratio of Bai yan 2 was the largest in Shandan,and that of ba you 3 was the smallest in huajialing.(2)The origin had significant influence on the nutritional quality of oat,and the difference of crude protein content among different varieties was extremely significant.With the increase of the altitude of the producing area,the temperature decreases,the growth period of oat is prolonged,the yield of grass is increased,the content of acid washing fiber and neutral washing fiber is increased,and the content of calcium and phosphorus is decreased.Among them,the average content of coarse protein in oat grain filling stage was the highest in Shandan(7.25%),followed by cooperative and huajialing,and the lowest in shuangchagou(5.02%),which was 12.45%,25.01% and 30.71% lower than Shandan respectively,and the crude protein content of Qingyin 2 was the highest in Shandan.(3)The contents of sucrose,fructan and WSC in different oat producing areas and filling stages have very significant influence,and different oat varieties have very significant influence on the contents of fructan and WSC in different oat sections.The content of sucrose and fructan in the lower ear segment of Yan wheat was higher than that in the inverted three segments and inverted two segments,and WSC content in the inverted three segments was higher than that in the lower ear segment and inverted two segments.From high to low,WSC contents in different producing areas are huajialing(21.67%),Shandan(8.59%),shuangchagou(8.08%)and cooperation(6.23%).The content of fructan in Bai yan 2 is the highest,accounting for 0.74 %,and that of Ba you 3 is the lowest,accounting for only 0.44%.WSC content of Qingyin 2 is the highest(13.82%),and Ba you 3 is the lowest(8.05 %).(4)Shandan is the best planting area for the purpose of obtaining higher green hay and nutritional quality,and Longyan 3 and Qingyin 2 are the most suitable varieties.
