Acute Kidney Injury is defined as a rapid decline in glomerular filtration rate, occurring within a few minutes to several days.Since in this case the rate of metabolic waste generation exceeds the renal excretion rate, the serum concentrations of renal function indexes such as urea and creatinine increase. The causes of acute kidney injury can be divided into three categories:prerenal, renal and postrenal. In the past, dopamine was commonly used in medicine to treat acute kidney injury, but more and more people have questioned the use of dopamine in recent years. This article aims to analyze the efficacy of dopamine in canine acute kidney injury by analyzing the main clinical symptoms, changes of blood routine, blood biochemical and blood gas indicators. From July 2017 to January 2018,the author participated in the collection and treatment of 39 cases of canine acute kidney injury during the practice of an Animal Hospital in Wuhan.Due to the controversy over dopamine in the treatment of canine acute kidney injury,18 cases were treated with conventional drugs(ie,conventional therapy group)and 21 cases were treated with conventional drugs plus dopamine(ie,dopamine group)with the consent of the owners. On the 7th day of treatment, the main clinical symptoms, blood routine, blood biochemica and blood gas indicators of the two groups were analyzed. The results showed:Analysis of clinical symptoms found that at the 7th day of treatment, the clinical symptoms in the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group were all relieved. There were no significant differences in the remission rate of vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, anorexia, pain, and oliguresis between the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group(P>0.05).Analysis of laboratory parameters found that there were no significant differences between leukocyte, red blood cell,hematocrit,platelet,BUN,CRE,Na+,K+,Cl-,pH and HCO3-indicators between the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group before treatment(P>0.05).At the 7th day of treatment, there were no significant differences between leukocyte, red blood cell, hematocrit and platelet indexes(P>0.05)between the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group, but leukocyte indicators in both groups were reduced..There was no significant difference in the BUN index(P>0.05),while the CRE index of the conventional therapy group was significantly lower than the dopamine group(P<0.05),and both BUN and CRE indicators were reduced.Na+,K+,Cl-,pH and HCO3-indicators also showed no significant differences(P>0.05).For the comparison of the final cure time, there was no significant difference(P>0.05)between the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group,in which the cure time of the dopamine group was 12.67±5.76days,and the cure time of the conventional therapy group was 12.00±7.15 days. These results showed that the symptoms and biochemical indicators of the dogs were improved both in the dopamine group and the conventional therapy group, but dopamine did not show a theoretical advantage and could not reverse canine acute kidney injury more quickly.
