| Objective:Pathologic changes of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ in capsule of developmentalal dislocation of the hip (DDH) are closely related with hip joint laxity. However, the relevant study between expression of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ was very few. To explore correlation of the expression of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ in capsule of developmental dislocation of the hip (DDH) and joint functional impairment after operation. We analysed reletivity among protein and mRNA expression of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ, collagen Ⅰ/Ⅲ and postoperative joint operation. We hope our study can offer a theoretical basis for post-operative rehabilitation excise.Methods:123 patients (160 hips)with DDH at the age of 2.5-3 years old who received similar operation were included in our hospit al from 2010 to 2013. Preoperative dislocation grade of all cases were Ⅲ or Ⅴ according to Tollis grade. The redundant capsules were preserved for detecting expression of collagen Ⅰ and Ⅲ by immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR. The same way of rehabilitation excise was used. The clinic evaluation of all cases were divided into four groups (excellent, good, general and poor) by McKay score. Results:There was no statistically significance in expression of collagen Ⅲ both immunohistochemistry and RT-PCR. However, higher expression of collagen Ⅰ was observed in poor group by McKay score..Conclusion:The expression of collagen I in capsule of DDH patients is of correlation with post-operative joint functional rehabilitation. The patients with higher expression of collagen I should strengthen the function exercise after operation. |
