Anastomotic leakage is a common complication after the radical resection of esophageal carcinoma.Without timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment,it will lead to serious consequence.Anastomotic leakageis caused by a variety of reasons,and there are many forms of treatment.The key to deal with anastomotic leakage is recognizing the patients with risk factors earlier and giving them appropriate management,which can reduce themorbidity and mortality of it.In this summary,recent articles are reviewed to help to know the causes,diagnoses,treatments,and preventative methods of it.
