0bjective: This research was aimed at discussing the relationship of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation and blood lipid, carotid artery plaque and carotid artery stenosis in Acute Cerebral Infarction(ACI),supplying objective index for microcosmic syndrome differentiation of TCM in ACI,making the TCM syndrome differentiation and the treatment of ACI more objective, accurate, and individualized. Methods: Formulate unified inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, and TCM syndrome differentiation was conducted with reference to the standard of diagnosis and curative effect in TCM disease and syndrome.Collecting the results of all the patients' blood lipid and carotid artery color, making analysis the data with the application of SPSS 22.0.Comparing the results of all the patients' blood lipid and carotid artery color in each syndrome, discussing the relationship of every syndrome type in patients with ACI and the blood lipid, carotid artery plaque and carotid artery stenosis. Results: 1.The distribution of TCM syndrome types in ACI in the order.Wind-phlegm with congestion emphraxis meridian Syndrome(WPCEMS)(32.69)> Qi deficiency with Blood stasis Syndrome(QDBSS)(25.64%)> Liver-yang excessive rising Syndrome(LYESS)(16.03%)>Phlegm-heat with Blocked Intestines Syndrome(PHBIS)(14.10%)> Yin deficiency and Wind act Group(YDWAS)(11.54%).2.Since the structure and age of each type of syndrome had no statistically significant differences between men and women(P>0.05),syndrome had comparability.3.The distribution of various syndro me combined with Hypertension in each syndrome had statistically significant differences. The patients of LYESS combined with Hypertension account for the highest proportion(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and WPCEMS combined with Hypertension higher than that of YDWAS(P<0.05).The distribution of each syndrome combined with Coronary heart disease and diabetes had no statistical significance differences(P>0.05).4.There were statistically signific ant differences among dyslipide mia distribution of each syndrome.Type of LYESS and YDWAS dyslipidemia significantly lower than the proportion of WPC EMS,PHBIS and Q DBSS(P<0.01).The differences in the average of blood lipid level between syndromes ha d statistical significance,From the point of view of total cholesterol(TC),WPC EMS and PHBIS were obviously higher than LYESS(P<0.05 or P<0.01),PHBIS was obviously higher than YDWAS(P<0.05).From the point of view of triglyceride(TG),there had no statistical significant difference in all the TCM syndromes(P>0.05).From the point of view of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),QDBSS compared with the rest of the four type significantly reduced(P<0.01).From the point of view of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),WPCEMS and PHBIS were obviously higher than YDWAS(P<0.05 or P<0.01).5.There were statistically significant differences among the rate of carotid artery plaque of each syndrome.Compared with LYESS and YDWAS,the plaque detection rate of another three types were higher(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The distribution in carotid artery plaque of each syndrome had no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).6.There were statistically significant differences among the rate of carotid artery stenosis of each syndrome, the rate of carotid stenosis in LYESS and YDWAS are significantly lower another three types(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The distribution of artery stenosis degree in each syndrome had no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).Conclusions: 1.Each TCM Syndrome in ACI were associated with the distribution of dyslipidemia, the average of blood lipid level, the rate incidence of carotid artery plaque, the rate of carotid artery stenosis and Hypertension, however, found no difference in age, gender, the distribution in carotid artery plaque, the distribution in the degree of carotid stenosis, coronary heart disease and diabetes.2.The level of TC,LDL-C rose abnormally in patients with ACI could be used as reference index of phlegm syndrome, blood stasis syndrome. The level of HDL-C reduced abnormally could be used as reference index of Q i deficiency with Blood stasis Syndrome.3.The formation of carotid plaques and the occurrence of carotid artery stenosis in patients with ACI had relationship between TCM syndrome type, the formation of the carotid artery plaq ue and the occurrence rate of the carotid artery stenosis were higher in the Syndrome associated with phlegm syndrome, blood stasis.
