[Objective] To explore the effect of Kechuanning on RSV induced airway remodeling of asthma rat in pulmonary tissue pathology,bronchial morphology and the expre-ssion of ICAM-1 in lung tissue. Verificating the curative effect of Kechuanning on bronchial asthma and studiing in-depth of the inhibition mechanism of virus induced asthma airway remodeling, provide support and experimental basis for clinical application.[Methods] 60 SD male rats were randomly divided into 6 groups: normal group, model group, prednisone and salbutamoll in treatment group(abbreviation po-sha therapy group) and Kechuanning high, middle and low dose group, with 10 rats in each group. Except the normal group, rats in other groups were given ovalbumin and alumi-nium hydroxide gel in abdominal and thigh subcutaneous injections of the medial sensitization, 1% ovalbumin aerosol inhalation challenge.After inspired successly, driping RSV into zhe rats, nasal made it infected RSV. The normal group was injected with PBS buffer, the normal saline inhaled and RSV driped into rats, nasal. After the day of the model completed filled the medicine into stomach for 7 days. Using immunohistochemistry pv-9000 method detected the expression of ICAM-1 expre-ssion level, gob under optical microscope after hematoxylin and eosin staining and were observed in rat lung tissue pathological changes. Image analysis software determinated the bronchial wall thick-ness and airway wall area.[Results]1. Kechuanning treatment group occasionally saw zhe epithelial cell necrosis, bronchial mucosal edema?smooth muscle thickening?lumen narrowing not obvious and local inflammatory cell infiltration was less. But the model group about the above changes were more serious.2. Kechuanning each dose group can restrain the change of the bronchial wall thickness and airway wall area, compared with the model group the difference was significant(P < 0.01).Kechuanning middle dose group than the po-sha therapy group was slightly worse, but the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05). Kech-uanning high, low dose group compared with po-sha therapy group the effect was poor and had statistical significance(P < 0.05). Kechuanning high dose group compared with Kechuanning small dose group the bronchial wall thickness and airway wall area decreased slightly, but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05).3. The treatment group compared with the model group, the lung tissue ICAM-1 expression decreased, the difference was significant difference(P < 0.01). Po-sha in the treatment group, Kechuanning middle dose group was better than the Kechuanning high, low dose group, the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.05). Po-sha therapy group compared with Kechuanning middle dose group, in lung tissue the expression of ICAM-1 is slightly lower, but the difference was not statistically significant(P > 0.05). Kechuanning high dose group compared with Kechuanning small dose group, in lung tissue the ICAM-1 expression decreased slightly, but the difference was not significant(P > 0.05)[Conclusions]1. Kechuanning could reduce the inflammatory cells, infiltration in the bronchus and peripheral lung tissue, at the same time reduced the release of inflammatory mediators, and alleviate airway pathological injury.2. Kechuanning could inhibit the thickness of the bronchial wall and smooth muscle, effectively reduce airway remodeling.3.Kechuanning could through reduce of the expression ICAM-1 in the lung tissue, and then triggered a series of reactions, thus inhibited airway inflammation and airway remodeling on asthma induced by RSV.
