Objective: To investigate the relationship between the symptom of Chronic cerebral ischemia and the image of leukoaraiosis around the ventricle;To analyze the correlation between the severity of leukoaraiosis around the double ventricle and the pipe diameter,and the correlation between the severity of leukoaraiosis around the double ventricle and the number of branch of thalamostriate veins;To analyze the relationship between the severity of leukoaraiosis around the double encephalocoele and the visible rate of thalamostriate veins` slender branches;To assess the image quality of susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI)for the cerebral vein,especially the Internal cerebral deep vein?Method:Retrospectively analyzed the images of 122 cases,who went MRI(magnetic resonance imaging)and SWI.All the patients went to hospital for the symptoms of chronic cerebral ischemia,like headache?dizzy?nausea?weakness?And patients with acute cerebral infarction depending the diffusion weighted imaging(DWI)were excluded.By inquirying the medical history,all the patients didn`t have acute cerebral infarction within the last 1 month?According to MRI images of brain periventricular white matter and the Fazekas scale,we divided the patients into 4 groups,named A,B,C,D,respectively.The pipe diameter of thalamostriate veins were Measured,which were in the middle of ventricle;The number of mainly branches of thalamostriate veins were counted;the visible rate of slender branches of thalamostriate veins were counted,which were in the white matter and showed as “droping willow” sign?SPSS19.0 statistical software was used to deal with the date we got,with P<0.05 for statistically significant.Combined with the characteristics of data distribution,deal with the measurement data using t test and analysis of variance,count data by chi-square test?Result:1 In patients of cerebral ischemia,who had the clinical symptom,most of their MRI images were positive: T2 weighted imaging(T2WI)and fluid attenuated inversion recovery(FLAIR)presented as high-intensity.Part of the MRI images presented as negative.2 Table 3.1-3.2 showed the statistical analysis results of the two sides pipe diameter data of each group.In the normal group,group A,pipe diameter of the left thalamostriate veins was(1.92±0.29mm),pipe diameter of the right thalamostriate veins was(1.92±0.29mm),there was no significant statistical difference between the left and right vein(t=0.414,P=0.681>0.05).In group B,pipe diameters of the left and right thalamostriate veins were(1.88±0.41 mm)?(1.93±0.36 mm),there was no significant statistical difference between the left and right veins(t=0.889,P=0.379>0.05).In C group,pipe diameters of the left and right thalamostriate veins were(2.01±0.417mm)?(1.94±0.470mm),there was no significant statistical difference between the left and right veins(t=0.903,P=0.3787>0.05).In group D,pipe diameters of the left and right thalamostriate veins were(1.855±0.403mm),(1.92±0.444mm),seperately.there was no significant statistical difference between the left and right veins(t=-1.057,P=0.303>0.05).To sum up,there was no significant statistical difference between pipe diameter of the left and right veins in each group.3 There was no significant statistical difference between the pipe diameter of the left thalamostriate veins and right veins,so combined the date of the left and right veins in ABCD the 4 groups.Dealing with each of the 4 groups(result in the Table 4.2),there was no significant statistical difference between the pipe diameters of the each 4 groups(F=1.356,P=0.257>0.05).4 The number of branches of the thalamostriate veins in two sides were counted,got the chart belonging to the bidirectional orderly states.Considering the character of the state,it should be treated with Two-way orderly grouping data linear trend test.The result of the statistical analysis(Table 5.1-5.2):1)X2(total)= 33.62,P<0.05,so the difference of the number of venous lumen between each group showed statistic significanc;2)X2(regress)=26.06<3.84,P<0.05,Linear regression weight have statistical significance;3)X2(deviate)=7.56>15.51,P>0.05,Deviation from linear regression weight have no statistical significance.4)According to the results of 2)and 3),there was correlation between the two various--severity of leukoaraiosis,number of the vein,and it was a linear relationship.5 Table 6 showed results of the slender branches : the displaying rate of left veins were 74%,70%,50%,23%,respectively;the displaying rate of right vein were 77%,73%,45%,32%,respectively.It was obvious that with the severity of brain lesions increased,vein displaying rate gradually decreased from A to D.Conclusion:1 As an excellent imaging method,MRI should be arranged as the routine method for the patients with cerebral ischemia.However,the reasons of cerebral ischemia were diversity,and chronic ischemia develops progressively,so MRI not always be positive.2 There was no difference between the left and right pipe diameters of the thalamostriate veins,so pipe diameters of the left and right thalamostriate veins were similar during the growth.3 The diversity severity of chronic cerebral ischemia had no influence on the pipe diameters of the thalamostriate veins.4 The correlation between the severity of leukoaraiosis around the ventricle and the vein number was a linear trend correlation situation.5 The severity of brain tissue chronic ischemia related to the white matter veins` number.The heavier ischemia,more veins dismissed.6 SWI is a relatively reliable examine method,with advantage of intracranial deep vein system showing.
