| Obectives:Postherpetic neuralgia, as the most common sequelae of herpes zoster,the incidence showed an upward trend in recent years. Its severe intractable pain have a great impact to the patients' quality of life.Numerous clinical and experimental studies have confirmed that acupuncture in the treatment of PHN show unique advantages,such as significant effect, safe,easy, and other side effects, etc.This study through observe the clinical efficacy that electroacupuncture at jiaji points plus point injection treatment of postherpetic neuralgia,and the clinical curative effect Before and after treatment in patients with serum interleukin-2 content change, as the EA Jiaji points plus point injection clinical guidelines and provide a reliable basis for clinical electroacupuncture at jiaji points plus point injection treatment of postherpetic neuralgia.This study of all cases were from the outpatient and inpatient of Wuhan integrated TCM and Western medicine hospital.Through the method of random sequence according to visit order, were randomly divided into treatment group(acupuncture jiaji points plus point injection) and control group(Western medicine therapy), each group had 31 cases,a total of 62 cases.The control group and treatment group respectively has 1 case that did not adhere to treatment due to special circumstances and removed, so the final observed in the control group and treatment group each 30 patients.Observation of the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture at jiaji points plus point injection treatment of PHN, and the comprehensive efficacy, VAS scores, analgesia,pain beganing to ease time and serum IL-2 concent rations of two groups of patients were statistically analysis before and after treatment.Results:1.Comprehensive comparison of curative effect, the treatment group cured 12 cases in 30 patients, markedly effective in 14 cases, effective 2 cases, invalid 2 cases,the total effective rate was 93.3%; the control group 6 cases were cured,7 cases markedly effective, effective 7 cases, invalid 10 cases, the total effective rate was 66.7%. The treatment group than the control group achieved a better overall efficacy(P<0.05).2.The difference of VAS score about two groups of patients before treatment is statistically insignificant(P>0.05). The VAS pain score before and after treatment in the two groups had some degree of reduction.(P<0.05),But the extent of the treatment group decreased more than the control group(P<0.05).3.The treatment group(electroacupuncture at jiaji piont combined with acupoint injection group) analgesic effect than the control group(western medicine group), the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05)4.Comparison of time to onset of pain relief of the two groups,the treatment group was shorter than the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).5.The difference of serum IL-2 concent about two groups of patients before treatment is statistically insignificant,P>0.05.The treatment group compared with the control group Before and after treatment,the two groups after treatment can improve the serum levels of IL-2,but the treatment group the serum levels of IL-2increased significantly(P < 0.05),the control group after treatment the level of IL-2 compared to before had no statistical significance(P < 0.05).At the same time,the level of IL-2 about treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).6.Safety evaluation: two groups of patients was found during the treatment in the event of safety is more serious,suggested that EA at jiaji points combined with point injection for treatment of small postherpetic neuralgia and side effects,clinical application is safe.Conclusions:Electroacupuncture at jiaji point combined with point injection and western medicine treatment of postherpetic neuralgia have received a more positive clinical efficacy. But the treatment group has a more affirmative clinical curative effect on improving the recovery of nerve injury,alleviating the obvious pain,shortening the time of pain in patients with PHN than control group.The results showed that Electroacupuncture at jiaji point combined with point injection therapy can significantly alleviate the patient's pathological pain,and has the advantages of obvious analgesic effect,rapid onset of analgesia,shortening the time,no dependence,side effects and so on.At the same time,this method of treatment can can regulate immune function in patients by increasing serum levels of interleukin-2,inducing the patient's damaged nerve recovery.Besides,due to therapy clinical convenient,economical, safe, and the other advantages, as the one of the safe and effective treatment methods for the treatment of PHN,electroacupuncture at jiaji point combined with point injection is worthy of promoting. |
