Purpose Collecting cases related to lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion. All cases are selected from Wuhan General Hospital of Guangzhou Military orthopaedics. Through statistics, analysis and comparison of early postoperative patient's recovery, we could observe MED joint systemic back muscle exercise on the effect of early postoperative patients with lumbar disc protrusion.Method By adopting the method of retrospective study, We gathered 102 cases which have carried out the removal of nucleus pulposus at postevior intervertebral disc mirror downwand and the waist and back muscle training after surgery from the hospital orthopaedics between January 2014 and December 2015. In which,50 cases of patients have used postoperative system back muscle exercise;52 patients have used general postoperative functional exercise. Then we draw 30 cases from the 50 patients who have used postoperative system back muscle exercise(for convenience, this is called iobservation group);and 30 cases from the 52 patients have used general postoperative functional exercise (for convenience, this is called control group) to settle, do statistical and analysis. All cases conform to the Chinese and western medicine diagnostic criteria and clinical research standard, all patients get timely and effective outpatient follow-up. Based on pain visual analogue scale (VAS) rating, the Japanese orthopaedic association (JOA) low back pain score standard and Oswestry disabilyty index questionnaire (ODI). Using the SPSS 19.0 statistical software to analyze the data, the chi-square test was used to analyze the counting data and the t Test for the measurement data, with P<0.05 as a statistical significance, we observe MED joint systemic back muscle exercise on the effect of early postoperative patients with lumbar disc protrusion. Results There were no significant difference between the 2 groups (eg:age, sex, disease couse, the VAS, JOA and ODI scores). Study postoperative system back muscle exercise group (observation group), general postoperative functional exercise group (Comparison group) commonly before the operation, postoperative 10 days and 1 month after surgery than VAS, JOA, ODI score value of comparative analysis:1. Under VAS?JOA and ODI scoring system, two sets of scores within 10 days or 1 month, both P<0.01, there was statistically significant;2. Under VAS scoring system,10 days postoperative pain VAS scores, both P> 0.05, no statistically significant in both groups, after 1 month back pain VAS scores, P<0.05, statistically significant;3. Under the JOA scoring system, two sets of scores within 10 days after the JOA, P<0.05, between the two groups was statistically significant,10 days postoperative JOA scores, P<0.01, there was statistically significant;4.Under ODI Disability Index scoring system,10 days after the ODI disability index, both P> 0.05, that is not statistically significant in both groups after 1 month ODI index, P<0.01, there was statistically significantConclusion The statistical results show that observation group and control group has obvious therapeutic effect on patients with lumbar disc protrusion, but, by contrast, observation group recover better. So the MED early postoperative back muscle exercise can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients after lumbar mirror, reduce pain, improve quality of life, has a certain guiding significance for clinical rehabilitation exercises.
