The Research Of The Relativity Of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) Constitution Of Painters With Severe Oligospermia OR Asthenospermia And The Outcome Of Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection(ICSI)

Objective: Preliminarily searching the relevance between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)constitution of painters with severe Oligospermia OR asthenospermia and the outcome of Intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI).And more providing a theoretical basis for strengthening the role of chinese medicine in assisted reproductive technology(ART)with TCM.and the improvement of the success rate of ART outcome.Methods: Collecting the questionnaires and then according to Professor Wang Qi's rating form for the types of constitutions in TCM,Judge the types of constitutions of the objects of study.In addition,collecting the related indicators of ICSI,for example the rates of fertilization and cleavage,high-quality embryo,biochemical pregnancy and clinical pregnancy etc.1.Observing the total distribution of types of the TCM constitutions in the patients.And then according to the frequency of the types of the TCM constitutions investigating the relevant theoretical principle and clinical significance.2.Testing the related data of the ICSI in the patients who have difference in the types of the TCM constitutions in order to find out whether the difference is existed.3.investigating and explaining the relevance between TCM constitution of painters with severe Oligospermia OR asthenospermia and the outcome of ICSI.Results: Collecting a total of 173 valid questionnaires.Among the total distribution of the TCM constitution,the Mild constitutions 49 cases which accounted for 28.32%.the former of types of the biased constitutions from the higher to the lower is as below: Damp-heat constitution 41 cases(23.70%),Qi-deficient constitution 17 cases(9.83%),Yin-deficient constitution 16 cases(9.25%),Yang-deficient constitution 15 cases(8.67%),Qi-stagnation constitution 13 cases(7.51%),Phlegm-dampness constitution 11 cases(6.36%),Allergic constitution 6 cases(3.47%),Blood-stasis constitution 5 cases(2.89%).The related indicators of ICSI were the best in patients with mild constitution.Among those with biased constitutions,patients with Yang-deficient constitution had lower rates of normal fertilization(81.9%),cleavage(80.0%),high-quality embryo(36.9%)which significantly different from the mild constitution(P?0.05).Yin-deficient constitution had lower rates of normal fertilization(82.9%),high-quality embryo(37.4%)which significantly different from the mild constitution(P?0.05).Qi-stagnation constitution and Allergic constitution both had lower rate of high-quality embryo(36.8%?25.0%)which significantly different from the mild constitution(P?0.05).patient with biased constitutions had the similar rates of biochemical pregnancy and clinical pregnancy with mild constitution(P?0.05).Conclusion: On the outcome of ICSI,patients with biased constitutions had the similar rates of biochemical pregnancy and clinical pregnancy with mild constitution(P?0.05).The patients with Mild constitutions were better than others who with biased constitutions.The rates of normal fertilization,high-quality embryo were significantly increased in patients with Mild constitutions,so that Mild constitutions is the most ideal constitution.The outcome of ICSI of patients with biased constitutions is abnormal in different aspects and degrees.The patients with Yang-deficient constitution and Yin-deficient constitution had lower rates of high-quality embryo,normal fertilization.Therefore,there is a correlation between the outcome of ICSI and TCM constitution of patients with severe Oligospermatism OR asthenozoospermia.
