Purpose Jinwu Gutong capsule is the clinical experience,With nourishing the liver and kidney, Huoxuetongluo and Qufengchushi,Widely used in clinical. The clinical observation by Jinwu Gutong capsule in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome), further to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of clinicalmedication.Methods Based on the TCM and western medincine diagnostic criteria of osteoarthritis of the knee, and drug indications, ontraindications range, criteria for inclusion and exclusion set for the test. In the period from May 2014 to October 2015,128 patients with knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome) treated in Wuhan Integrated TCM&Western Medincine Hospital outpatients were selected, randomized into two groups, Jinwu Gutong capsule and Votalin clinical test method and parallel control, according to the Jinwu Gutong capsule test groups: the Votalin control group = 3:1 randomized design, the experimental group 96 cases, control group a total of 32 cases. Detailed records of the patient’s general information and clinical studies of cases, informed the basic information of the test and the signed the informed consent.In strict accordance with the test procedures,the two groups were given the appropriate medication, regular follow-up, observe and record, collect the test data, using statistical analysis method, Comparison of two groups of drugs in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome) between the clinical efficacy and safety of medicines.Results Jinwu Gutong capsule can be good improved the symptoms and signs of patients with knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome),and it can delay the loss of bone mass and to a certain extent, promote new bone formation, without any adverse events and adverse reaction, efficacy and safety. The curative effect, the clinical control rate of experimental group was 0%, the effective rate was 62.36%, effective rate was 32.26%, no efficiency was 5.38%, the total effective rate was 94.62%; the control group clinical control rate was 0%; the effective rate was 36.67%; the effective rate was 50%; no efficiency was 13.33%; the total efficiency was 86.67%; there are significant differences between the two groups(P<0.05). Two groups of patients after treatment of symptoms and signs were obviously improved, the test group after treatment, pain, stiffness, joint function score and bone markers than in the control group were significantly different(P<0.05), the experimental group on knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome) curative effect is better than that of control group at the same time, to a certain extent delayed the loss of bone mass, and promote the new bone formation.In terms of security, during the treatmen, 1 case of patient in the control groupoccurred stomach discomfort after taking Votalin, the other treatment group and the control group did not show any adverse events related to the study drug. the incidence of the test group 0%, control group 3.12%, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The two groups of patients were on the basis of the research process, analysis of regular blood tests, urine routine, liver and kidney function, electrolyte,electrocardiogram,both of the two groups of patients in examination before and after treatment results of statistical analysis, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Jinwu Gutong capsule in improving knee osteoarthritis(liver and kidney deficiency syndrome) in patients with pain, stiffness, joint function score on clinical curative effect;the bone markers in the patients were significantly improved better than those in the control group,it also has a certain antiosteoporosis effect;Jinwugutong capsule treatment may be associated with the anti osteoporosis effect。it has clinical efficiency and high safety,without obvious changes in patients’ laboratory indexes such as blood tests, urine routine, liver and kidney function, electrolyte, electrocardiogram.It is worthy of clinical application.
