The first part The analysis of depression in patients with OSASHObjective: To explore the ralationship between obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea(OSAHS) and depression. Methods: We collected 96 cases of patients who were diagnosed OSAHS in our hospital at January 2014 to October 2015 as experimental group, 40 cases of healthy volunteers as control group. All the patients underwent polysomnogram(PSG) detection and Zung Depression self rating scale(SDS) detection,. According to apnea hypopnea index(AHI) and the lowest oxygen saturation, experimental group were divided into mild group(11 cases), moderate group(40 cases) and severe group(45 cases). At last, we compared the prevalence of depression in each group. Results: There were no significant differences in body mass index and age between OSAHS group and control group, but the AHI and SDS score of OSAHS group was significantly higher than that in control group, while the lowest blood oxygen saturation was lower than that in control group. Conclusion: The incidence of depression increased gradually with the aggravation of OSAHS patients. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment of OSAHS is beneficial to prevent the occurrence of depression. The second part Changes of depressive symptoms and intervention strategies in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome before and after treatmentObjective: To observe and study the occurrence and changes of depression in patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS) before and after operation. Methods: We collected 85 cases of patients who were diagnosed OSAHS from January 2014 to October 2015. All patients underwent UPPP, every patient underwent the Zung Depression self rating scale(SDS) respectively before and after surgery 3 months and half a year. Results: OSAHS patients with preoperative symptoms of depression occurrence rate was 54.1% before surgery, the occurrence of depression decreased after three months, reached 35.3%, the occurrence of depression further reduced after six months, but there were still 13%. The score of SDS descended in turn before surgery and after surgery in three months and after surgery in six months, and the difference between the preoperative and postoperative three months was statistically significant, the difference between postoperative three months and postoperative six months was statistically significant. Conclusion: The depressive symptoms in OSAHS patients were significantly improved after surgery, the operation was an effective way to relieve the symptoms and depressive symptoms of OSAHS patients. Clinicians should give positive attention in OSAHS patients with depression and take some intervention measures before surgery, also combine with family members and the society to understand, care and support the patients. Only in this way, can we reduce the incidence of postoperative depressive symptoms and improve the curative effect.
