Objective: To discuss mechanism of yin dificiency and heat accumulation of type 2 diabetes mellitus by the combination of sweet and bitter herbs. According to the method, puting forward to the treatment and the clinical threapeutic principle, providing the basic clinical prevention and treatment.Methods: Using randomized controlled methods, 60 patients diagnosed with yin dificiency and heat accumulation of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients divided into treatment group and control group according to the proportion of 1:1. All the subjects were treated on the basis of treatment(diabetes knowledge popularization, low iodine diet, exercise therapy, drug treatment), and blank control group, treatment group on the basis of foundation treatment to ganku jiangtang tang. Observation time of 12 weeks, 4 weeks for a period of treatment, observation 3 period of treatment. Monitoring of the patient’s clinical symptoms integral before and after the treatment, and the physical and chemical indexes, using SPSS statistical software for statistical analysis.Results: The clinical observation and statistical analysis show that post-treatment the treatment group in improving clinical symptoms, blood glucose, insulin resistance and blood lipid was better than control group, P<0.05, with statistical significance. Before and post the treatment of hepatic, kidney function, electrocardiogram, blood routine, routine urine are no abnormal change.Conclusion: The establishment of the method of combination of sweet and bitter herbs was obvious clinical efficacy on yin dificiency and heat accumulation of the type 2 diabetes. The treatment group with clinical symptoms, blood glucose, blood lipids,glycated hemoglobin and other indexes were improved after treatment, obtain a better clinical curative effect.
