Objective:This study was performed to detect the serum concentrations of IL-11 and sIL-11 R,and to explore the relationship between them and reactive thrombocytosis and the disease activity in RA. Methods:The RA patients were divided into 24 cases of thrombocytosis group and 36 cases of normal PLT group according to the levels of platelet,and were divided into 42 cases of active group 18 cases of remission according to DAS28. The serum concerntrations of IL-11 and sIL-11 R of 60 RA patients and 30 healthy individuals were measured by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). Analyzed the correlation between the IL-11?sIL-11 R and the PLT?PCT?PDW?MPV?DAS28?ESR?CRP?RF?ACCP?IgG?IgM?IgA. Results:(1) The IL-11 was significantly higher in RA group than that in the control group 264.79±1.70 pg/mL vs. 159.04±1.49 pg/mL( t=4.631, P<0.01).(2) The IL-11 was higher in thrombocytosis group than that in the normal thrombocyte group 394.46±1.64 pg/mL vs. 203.05±1.45 pg/mL(P<0.01).The sIL-11 R was also higher in thrombocytosis group than that in the normal thrombocyte group 8.30±1.87 ng/mL vs. 4.67±1.76 ng/mL(P<0.01).(3) The IL-11 was higher in RA active group than that in the remission group 311.24±1.67 pg/mL vs. 181.68±1.44 pg/mL(P<0.01).The sIL-11 R was also higher in RA active group than that in the remission group 6.95±1.88 ng/mL vs.3.98±1.68 ng/mL(P<0.01).(4) The IL-11 was positive correlated with the sIL-11 R, PLT, PCT, DAS28, ESR, CRP in RA(r=0.480, 0.642, 0.418, 0.447, 0.356, 0.364, P<0.05). The sIL-11 R was positive correlated with the PLT, PCT, DAS28, ESR, CRP, RF, ACCP, IgM in RA(r=0.426, 0.316, 0.457, 0.406, 0.366, 0.292, 0.365, 0.359, P<0.05).(5) The most significant factors affecting the IL-11 in RA were PLT, PCT and sIL-11 R.The most significant factor affecting the sIL-11 R in RA was the IL-11. Conclusions:(1)The IL-11 may be involved in the promote pathogenesis of reactive thrombocytosis in RA.(2)The IL-11 was involved in disease activity in RA.The IL-11 may participated in the pathogenesis of RA.The IL-11 acted an immune regulatory role in RA,and was positively correlated with RA activity.(3)The sIL-11 R may be an agonist role of IL-11 in RA,it may be involved in the reactive thrombocytosis in RA.
