Objective:To detect the expression levels of interleukin(IL)-25 and IL-17 in peripheral blood of patients with chronic urticaria. Methods:Cases: 60 patients(29 males,31 females, age arranged from 16 to 66 years old,aver-age age is 35.2 years old, course of disease is 1.5-60 month, the average is 27.6 mo-nth), all from the dermatological department of the First Hospital of Shanxi Medi-cal University during 2014.1-2015.4,who were diagnosed chronic urticaria by clinical.60 normal human as controls(28 males,32 females, age arranged from 18 to 67 yearsold, the average age is36.8),all from the healthy physical examination of the same period and hospital, they all do not have any allergic diseases. All cases did not u-se hormone, immune modulators and immunosuppressants within 1 months. Two gro-ups in age and sex ratio have no statistical significance(P > 0.05). Using ELASA method specimens of IL-25 and IL-17 levels, the unit for them is ng/L. Disease activity was assessed by EAACI/GA2LEN/EDF activity score, which is composed of wheals score. The disease activity is scored 0 to 6.We graded activity of disease as follows; patients with 0-2 score considered as mild, score 3-4 as moderate and score 5-6 as severe disease. Results using SPSS22.0 statistics software to carry out the analysis, two sets of quantitative data is using t-test,correlation between indicators using Sperman correlation analysis, P < 0.05 for the difference was statistically significant. Results:The serum levels of IL-25 and IL-17 in the patients(125.08±40.60 ng/L,17.86±8.50 ng/L) were significant-ly higher than those in the healthy controls(90.82±14.95 ng/L,8.11±2.76 ng/L(t=6.13,8.45,respectively, P<0.01),and Sperman corr elation analysis showed that the height of serum levels of IL-25 and IL-17 are positively correlated with the severity of chronic urticara(r=0.776,0.798,both P<0.01), the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion:In chronic urticaria patients,The serum level of IL-25 and IL-17 are significantly higher than healthy controls(P < 0.01), and In chronic urticaria group, the height of serum levels of IL-25 and IL-17 are positively correlated with the severity of chronic urticara(P< 0.01). it is suggested that IL-25 and IL-17 may be attributable to the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria,it also may provide the rationale for new treatment strategies in chronic urticaria.
