Objective To explore the effect of Pulsed electromagnetic fields on repair of Ulnar nerve after operating to moderate or severe Cubital tunnel SyndromMethods A total of 138 patients with moderate or severe Cubital tunnel Syndrom were randomly divided into minimally Pulsed electromagnetic fields treatment group and control group, then EMG ? Ulnar nerve diameter and curative effect index were detected in patients of these two groups before surgery and at 2w ?4w and 12 w after surgery. Results 107 cases were completely investigated in the follow up study and the statistical analysis was made. Results Follow-up the 107 patients with moderate to severe CUTS after surgery, the NCV of two groups was risen at the beginning and then declined with the time; the LAT was decline at the beginning and then rise; the AMP was gradually risen tendency. The EMG(NCV,AMP,LAT)in pulsed electromagnetic fields treatment group is faster than that in the control group, between groups,point-in-time and Intercept was statistically significant(P?0.05).The two groups ulnar nerve long diameter of the lesions had no significant changes. The Ulnar nerve diameter between groups,point-in-time and Intercept was not statistically significant(P?0.05). The clinical efficacy of Pulsed electromagnetic fields treatment group is better than the control group(P?0.05).Conclusions The Pulsed electromagnetic fields can effectively promote the repair of Ulnar nerve and the muscle group in hand in postoperation of moderate to severe cubital tunnel syndrome. This technique can reduce complications and improve clinical efficacy.
