Objective To analysis the MR performance of 34 renal clear cell carcinoma and 18 renal angiomyolipoma with minimal fat(in diameter of?4 cm),to improve the MR diagnosis and differential diagnosis of kidney tumors. Methods The MR performance of fifty-two renal tumors(in diameter of?4 cm) confirmed by pathology or longer-term follow-up were retrospectively evaluated, included thelesion shape, boundary, signal, IP /OP value,ADC values, rADC value and STII value. Results The 52 patients were divided into two groups, the features had significant differences between renal clear cell carcinoma and kidney angiomyolipomas(P < 0.05),included T2 WI signal characteristics of lesions, location of lesion center, angle of intersection, bleeding, necrosis, cystic degeneration, psuedocapsule, STII value,ADC values, rADC value. The MRI dynamic contrast enhanced of two groups is varied and have a lot in common, so statistical analysis was not possiple. Conclusion MRI may be useful in differentiating Renal small tumors, analysis carefully of the signal features is helpful in providing the level of image diagnosis before operation.
