Objective 1.To investigate the correlation between breast cancer risk and both background parenchymal enhancement in 3.0T dynamic enhanced MR and breast density in FFDM. 2.To examine the relationships between BPE in MR and MD in FFDM. 3.The factors that influence BPE and MD. Materials And Methods 305 women underwent both FFDM and breast dynamic enhanced MR between January 2011 and December 2013.72 breast carcinoma cases were identified histopathologically. According to the age and checking time,a comparison was performed. Two normal controls-those of the women with negative (benign) findings at breast MR imaging-were matched to each breast cancer case.Eventually there are only a total of 216 patients for research. Two experienced breast imaging radiologists independently rated the level of MR imaging and the category of breast density in FFDM on the basis of ACR BI-RADS lexicon for both case group and control group.BPE in MRI were categorized as minimal, mild, moderate, or marked, MD in FFDM were categorized as ACR 1, ACR 2, ACR 3, or ACR 4.Logistic regression analysis was used to observe the correlation between breast cancer risk and both BPE and MD,then calculated the odds ratio(OR). When the OR value was more than one, the factors were considered as risk factors, the more OR value, the higher the risk.Spearman correlation coefficients was used to identify the correlation between BPE and MD.Rank sum test was used to identify the relationship between menopause and BPE or MD. Result 1.Compared with the odds ratio for a normal control, the OR for breast cancer increased significantly with increasing BPE.The ORs for moderate or marked BPE versus minimal or mild BPE were 5.0(reader 1) and 3.3(readers 2), both p<0.05.2. Compared with the odds ratio for a normal control, the OR for breast cancer increased significantly with increasing MD category. The ORs for ACR 3 or ACR 4 versus ACR 1 or ACR 2 were 4.7(reader 1)and 5.8(readers 2),both p<0.05.3. There were no significant correlation between BPE and MD both in premenopause or postmenopause.4. Premenopause or postmenopause could affect the level of BPE and MD, the level of both BPE and MD decended after postmenopausal. Conclusion Increased the level of BPE or the category of MD is strongly predictive of breast cancer odds...
