Objective:Chronic Constipation PRO Rating Scale(CC-PRO) is made by the pelvic floor center of Nanjing hospital of traditional chinese medicine. The purpose of this study is to evaluation of the correlation of CC-PRO and Patient Assessment of Constipation Quality of Life scale(PAC-QOL), and research the comparison of the two Rating Scales in evaluation of quality of life in patients with chronic constipation. To evaluation CC-PRO's effect in the clinic of traditional Chinese medicine,by comparing two Rating Scales. Methods:Collecting chronic constipation patients in pelvic floor center, a total of 104 cases included in the study before treatment, patients fill in CC-PRO and PAC-QOL scale, and fill in constipation scoring system (CSS) scale as the reference. Then according to the constipation classification and condition of patients, to choose the appropriate treatment by the doctor, treatment methods include traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, biofeedback treatment.Statistical results of Rating Scales, do the data analysis with SPSS software.Result: ?In patients with different classification of constipation, preferred choice of different treatment in the clinical. There are 61 patient with defecatory disorder,59% of the total.93% of the patients with Functional constipation do acupuncture and biofeedback treatment;25 patient with slow transit constipation,24% of the total.88% of the patients with Functional constipation do Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) treatment; 17 patient with defecatory disorder and slow transit constipation,16% of the total.60% of the patients with Functional constipation do acupuncture and biofeedback and Traditional Chinese medicine treatment;? Scale score of 104 patients:CC-PRO before treatment vs after treatment:190.6±53.1vs131.4±79.3, P< 0.05;PAC-QOL before treatment vs after treatment:55.3±20.7vs55.3±20.7, P<0.05;CSS before treatment vs after treatment:14.9±3.7vs9.0±4.7,P<0.05; Scores fo the three scales before and after the treatment with statistical difference. ? There are correlations between the three scales, the correlation coefficient between CC-PRO and PAC-QOL r=0.855; the correlation coefficient between CC-PRO and CSS r=0.629; the correlation coefficient between PAC-QOL and CSS r=0.629;And there are correlations between the dimensionality of PAC-QOL (physical discomfort, psycho-social discomfort, worry, satisfaction) and dimensionality of CC-PRO (physical, psychological, social, and satisfaction).?104 patients were divided into two groups according to the different treatment, the TCM treatment group, including patients main with TCM treatment, a total of 42.Without TCM treatment group, including patients only acupuncture and biofeedback treatment, a total of 61.The score of two groups are no statistical difference before treatment. The CSS score and PAC-QOL score of two groups are no statistical difference after treatment. The CC-PRO score and it's physical dimensionality score of two groups with statistical difference after treatment.Conclusion:CC-PRO has good correlation with PAC-QOL, can fully reflect the disease severity and quality of life of patients in the clinical. In the comparison of traditional Chinese medicine treatment, CC-PRO can reflect the advantage of the physical dimensionality improvement of TCM treatment.
