Objective:To explore the influence on CGRP-RCP of New Zealand rabbits which were thermo-coagulated the areas in the bilateral sphenopalatine and anterior ethmoidal nerves concentrated.To know the function of CGRP-RCP on the pathogenesis and the role of thermo-coagulation outcome in allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods:Choose forty healthy New Zealand rabbits,were five months old,then randomly selected twenty-eight NewZealand rabbits to use ovalbumin intraperitoneal immunization to establish AR models.The remaining twelve were normal control group.Use ovalbumin intraperitoneal immunization to establish AR models,four of them were failed,then the successful twenty-four models were randomly divided into two groups: one was model group,the other was treated by thermo-coagulation via nasal endoscope to the areas in bilateral nasal cavities where sphenopalatine and anterior ethmoidal nerves concentraeted,treatment group.After one week,s operation,The nasal septum mucosa were obtained from New Zealand rabbits of two groups were made routinely by HE.Adopt the method of immunohistochemistry to detect the level of CGRP-RCP.The three groups' blood was drawn respectively to detect the content of CGRP-RCP in serum by the test of ELISA.Results: The result of HE: normal control group,nasal mucosa and interstitial had slight edema ? vascular hyperplasia ? congestion and inflammatory cells.model group,nasal mucosa and interstitial had obvious edema and a lot of inflammatory cells.treatment group,nasal mucosa and interstitial had mild edema and a few inflammatory cell.CGRP-RCP were 10.986±0.869pg/mL ? 28.096±2.659pg/mL ? 11.464±0.993 pg/mLin normal control group?model group?treatment group.there was statistical difference between treatment group and model group,there was no statistical difference between treatment group and normal control group.The result of immunohistochemistry: the positive cell numbers in treatment group were obvious lower than in the model group(P<0.05);the treatment group,there was no statistically significant difference compared with normal control group(P>0.05).Conclusion:CGRP-RCP has a higher content in model group's blood?nasal mucosa.It highly possibly participate the pathologic change in AR.Thermo-coagulation via nasal endoscope is applied in allergic rhinitis treatment to the areas in bilateral nasal cavities where sphenopalatine and anterior ethmoidal nerves concentraeted,it can remarkbably change the content of CGRP-RCP.Using thermo-coagulation be highly possibly the effective molecular mechanism in treatment of AR.
