As a chronic disease, Diabetic nephropathy is a slow and gradual process. The diabetic nephropathy animal model caused by human intervention is lack of the cumulative development process, thus it is of great difference with spontaneous diabetic nephropathy.Cynomolgus monkey, a non-human primate, whose biochemical parameters and physiological structure are very similar to human being. Moreover, just like human beings, there are a large number of spontaneous diabetic nephropathy arising among Cynomolgus monkey group. Therefore, the research of Cynomolgus monkey spontaneous diabetic nephropathy is positively significant reference for the basis and clinical study of human diabetic nephropathy. However, the current researches on the Cynomolgus monkey diabetic nephropathy mostly uses artificial intervention disease model, almost without study on Cynomolgus monkey spontaneous diabetic nephropathy. In this study, we used the Cynomolgus monkey of spontaneous diabetic nephropathy as the research object, and carried out 3 groups (normal group, diabetic group and diabetic nephropathy group) with the threshold of FBG-5.56mmol/Land ACR-17mg/g.After that, significant analysis was conducted towards the routine blood test and biochemical indicator of each group to screen out the characteristic indexes which with significant relationship to Cynomolgus monkey diabetic nephropathy.Further, the accuracy of grouping criteria was verified by using the intravenous glucose tolerance test (IVGTT) and immunohistochemistry, microscopic morphology and ultrastructure morphology of biopsy kidney tissue.By using the threshold of FBG-5.56mmol/L and ACR-17mg/g to divide the groups, the significant differences were found in all the indicators of blood of glucose, blood lipid, hepatobiliary function, albuminuria, the glomerular basement membrane thickness, podocyte density and glomerular sclerosis among the Cynomolgus monkey groups, and it is all similar to that in clinical research of human.Above analyses indicate that the diagnosing threshold values of FBG-5.56mmol/L and ACR-17mg/g for Cynomolgus monkey diabetic nephropathy are practicable; The clinical indicators values of Spontaneous diabetic nephropathy in Cynomolgus monkey are highly consistent to that in human; Spontaneous diabetic nephropathy of Cynomolgus monkey is a suitable model for human diabetic nephropathy research; Our study provided reference for further human clinical research of diabetic nephropathy.
