The Guan Moxibustion Treatment Effects On The Regeneration Of Injured Facial Nerve And The BDNF And TrkB Expression Of Rabbits

Research Purpose:To observe the recovery effects of Guan Moxibustion on rabbit’s facial nerve injury, and to detect the expression of BDNF and TrkB level, so as to explore how the Guan moxibustion therapy promote a prosthetic and regeneration mechanism of facial nerve injury.Methods:The animal model is built by facial nerve squeezing method. The sham operation group has no damage to facial nerve. The Guan moxibustion therapy group is treated with moxa-moxi bust ion, the thermal therapy group is treated with charcoal-moxibustion, and the model group and the sham operation group do not make any treatment. After the treatment, we observe the change of nerve tissue structure through HE staining method and light microscope by cutting out the facial nerve nucleus and tagging section nerves. We count by Luxol fast blue stain the facial nerve tract, the number of nerve fibers, the fibre diameter, the myelin sheath thickness, the axon area, and the nerve bundle area; and we use avidin biotin-peroxidase complex technique to detect the expression of BDNF and TrkB in facial nerve nucleus and the facial nerve.Result:We conclude that the facial paralysis symptoms of the Guan moxibustion therapy group are improved more than the model group. Compared with the Guan moxibustion therapy group, the indicators of model group fall down a lot of the facial nerve tract, the number of nerve fibers, the fibre diameter, the myelin sheath thickness, the axon area, and the nerve bundle area. However, the same indicators of the Guan moxibustion therapy group climb up significantly. The facial nerve nucleus and the integral optical density value of the Guan moxibustion therapy group are obviously higher than that of the model group.Conclusion:1. Guan moxibustion can effectively improve the symptoms of rabbit’s facial nerve injury;2. Guan moxibustion can promote the injury of facial nerve repair.3. Guan moxibustion can enhance facial nerve nucleus and the expression of BDNF and TrkB of a facial nerve injury rabbit.4. Guan moxibustion can promote the repairmen of the facial nerveand can increase the expression of BDNF and TrkB.
