| Objective:This paper aims to study muscle electric effect produced by different massage manipulations on post-stroke hemiplegic limbs to establish objective evaluation standards for rehabilitation effectiveness of different massage treatments for limb hemiplegia, and to select effective massage manipulation to limb hemiplegic rehabilitation,so as to guide clinical practice.Methods:120 cases of inpatients with stroke hemiplegia in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, were divided into rolling manipulation group, patting manipulation group, kneading manipulation group, rubbing manipulation group, shaking manipulation group and pressing manipulation group by means of random number table,20 cases in each group with the hemiplegic side as observation group and the healthy side limb as normal control group. The rectus femoris of double lower limbs in patients’ same parts of each group were received the same treatment from the high-qualified massage therapist, which included six kinds of manipulations: rolling manipulation, patting manipulation, kneading manipulation, rubbing manipulation, shaking manipulation and pressing manipulation. Each manipulation lasted at least 3 minutes until the signal was stable, and maintained around 3 to 5seconds.Then,collected the data.Results:1.There was no significant difference on resting potentials of healthysides and affected sides in all patients(P > 0.05);2.Effects of different massage manipulations on limb electromyogram signals in stroke patients(1)The affected side:①iEMG : the i EMG value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the highest value of i EMG was Patting Manipulation, the value of i EMG from high to low in turn was: Patting > rubbing > Shaking> rolling>Kneading >Pressing;②RMS:the RMS value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the highest value of RMS was Patting Manipulation, the value of RMS from high to low in turn was:Patting > rubbing > Shaking> Kneading> rolling >Pressing;③MF : the MF value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the highest value of MF was Pressing Manipulation, the value of MF from high to low in turn was:Pressing> rolling >Kneading >Patting > Shaking > rubbing.(2)The healthy side:①i EMG : the i EMG value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Similar to the affected side, the highest value of i EMG was Patting Manipulation, the value of i EMG from high to low in turn was: Patting > rubbing > Shaking>Kneading >rolling>Pressing;②RMS:the RMS value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the highest value of RMS was Patting Manipulation, the value of RMS from high to low in turn was:Patting > rubbing > Shaking> rolling>Kneading >Pressing;③MF : the MF value of the 6 groups compared, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the highest value of MF was Pressing Manipulation, the value of MF from high to low in turn was:Pressing> Kneading >rolling >Shaking>Patting > rubbing.(3)Comparison between the healthy side and the affected side:①iEMG : iEMG value of the affected side in patting and Kneading group was lower than the healthy side, and there was statistically significant difference(P <0.05);②RMS :RMS value of the affected side in patting group was lower than the healthy side, and there was statistically significant difference(P< 0.05);③MF : MF value of the affected side in rolling, patting and rubbing group was lower than the healthy side, and there was statistically significant difference(P <0.05).Conclusion:1.Different massage manipulations produce different changes to electromyogram signals of hemiplegic side in stroke patients, which suggests that under the load of a certain intensity, massage manipulations can stimulate the neuromuscular excitement, raise the number of motor unit and increase the amount of muscle discharge.2.The electromyogram value produced by Patting manipulation in the surgical operation muscles is significantly higher, which can improve the level of muscle excitement.3.In order to achieve the dissimilation or promote the recovery of the function of the hemiplegic limbs, different massage manipulations are adopted in different stages of the hemiplegia patients, which is beneficial to improve the overall clinical efficacy. |
