ObjectiveTo evaluate and analyze the psychological characteristics and quality of life of advanced breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy,and to evaluate the effect of psychological intervention on the psychological status and quality of life of advanced breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.MethodsA total of 89 patients with advanced breast cancer who were treated in Shandong Provincial Cancer Hospital from February 2016 to February 2017,patients were divided into intervention group(n = 45)and control group(n = 44).The intervention group was treated with routine chemotherapy and psychological intervention.The control group was treated with routine chemotherapy.To evaluate the psychological status and quality of life of the two groups before and after psychological intervention(initial assessment and re-evaluation),to compare the psychological status and quality of life of the intervention group and the control group after psychological intervention,and to analyze the effect of psychological intervention.Psychological intervention methods include psychological education intervention,group psychological intervention and individual psychological intervention.The survey tools were: Quality of Life Questionnaire(European Organization for Research and Treatment Quality of Life Questionnare-Core30,EORTC QLQ-C30),Self-Rating Depression Scale(Self-rating depression scale,SDS),Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(Self-Rating Anxiety Scale,SAS)and Post-Traumatic Growth Rating Scale(Posttraumatic Growth Inventory,PTGI).Results1.There was no statistically significant difference between the intervention group and the control group in terms of age,marital status,occupation,medical payment method,educational level and KPS score(P> 0.05).2.The overall health status of the patients was 7.26 ± 1.33 in the control group and 7.89 ± 1.73 in the intervention group at the time of initial evaluation.In the functional field,the score of the role function,cognitive function,social function was respectively [1.50±1.49;1.67±1.30],[3.34 ± 1.02;3.56 ± 1.10],[4.55 ± 1.56;4.76 ± 1.61] in the control group and intervention group,and the score of the physical function and emotional function was[8.23 ± 2.89;8.97 ± 3.01 ],[7.41 ± 2.15;7.76 ± 2.23] in the control group and intervention group.Shortness of breath,constipation,diarrhea,the score is relatively small,indicating that this issue is relatively small.3.At the time of the initial evaluation,44.9% of the patients had depression in the intervention group and the control group,28.1% for mild depression and 16.8% for moderate depression.The overall anxiety ratio was 40.4% in the intervention group and the control group.The mild anxiety was 22.5% and the moderate anxiety was 17.9%.4.For the intervention group,PTGI results showed,the total score of postoperative growth was 66.28 ± 14.084,the maximum was 93,the minimum was 32.Among them,the score of the "relationship with others" was 23.31 ± 5.107,"new possibility" was 15.73 ± 4.245,"individual power" was 12.20 ± 4.230,"spiritual belief on the change"was 6.87 ± 1.853,The appreciation of life "was 8.64 ± 2.630.5.There were significant differences in the function of the role function,cognitive function,emotional function,general health status,fatigue and insomnia in QLQ-C30 between initial assessment and re-evaluation(P <0.05).In the aspects of somatic function,social function,nausea Vomiting,pain,shortness of breath,loss of appetite,constipation,diarrhea,and economic difficulties were not statistically significant.6.In the intervention group,44.4% of the patients were depressed before the intervention,and 22.2% after the intervention,and the ratio of depression after the intervention was significantly decreased(P <0.05).In the control group,depressed patients accounted for 45.5% at the initial assessment and 50% at the re-evaluation,after the intervention,the proportion of patients with depression increased.Patients with anxiety in the intervention group accounted for 42.2% at the initial assessment and 24.4% at the re-evaluation.Compared with the intervention,the anxiety ratio decreased,but the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).In the control group,38.6% of patients was anxious between the initial assessment and re-evaluation 36.4% at the re-evaluation.The proportion of patients with anxiety the initial assessment and after intervention did not change significantly,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions1.The overall health status of patients with advanced breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy was the level of moderate,;the scores of functional areas were in the low level,functional conditions are poor;In the field of symptoms,Constipation,diarrhea score is low(less problem),and the rest of the field had much more problems,had a poor quality of life.2.The breast cancer patients with advanced chemotherapy suffer from depression and anxiety disorders,mainly mild and moderate3.After psychological intervention,the patients had a certain growth after trauma.4.After psychological intervention,the patients had significant differences in the role function,cognitive function,emotional function,overall health status,fatigue and insomnia,and were significantly improved after intervention,indicating that psychological intervention can improve the quality of life of patients to a certain extent.5.Psychological intervention can improve the patient's depression.After psychological intervention,the ratio of depression was lower than that before intervention,and there was significant difference between before and after intervention.
