Objects:1.To investigate the renal function health statues of the residents who living in a non-typical contaminated area in Hubei Province and to estimate the urinary cadmium BMD/BMDL of U-Cd for the study population;2.To study the relationship between S-Cd?R-Cd?and renal function impairment,to explore the dose-effect relationship between S-Cd/R-Cd and bio-markers of renal function?U-NAG and U-?2MG?,and to estimate the BMD/BMDL of S-Cd and R-Cd.Methods:We choose a non-typical cadmium contaminated area in Hubei Province as the survey site.Residents from five administrative area of here were selected as the survey objects.The basic information of the survey population was collected by issuing the questionnaire.In the first phrase of the study,we collected morning urine samples of the target population 1?a total of 1828 people?and measured the contents of U-Cd,U-NAG and U-?2MG.The relationship between U-Cd and U-NAG/U-?2MG was measured by regression analysis and chi-square test.And the BMD/BDML of U-Cd was measured by BMDS.In the second stage,the samples of morning urine,edible rice and the corresponding soil were collected from the target population 2?a total of 97 persons?.The S-Cd,R-Cd and U-Cd contents were detected.The relationship between them were measured by correlation analysis,regression analysis,chi-square test and path analysis.The BMD/BMDL of S-Cd and R-Cd were evaluated by BMDS.Results:In the first phase of the study,there was a certain degree of excessive in the levels of U-Cd,U-NAG and U-?2MG of the survey population 1.Linear regression analysis,chi-square test and linear chi-square test showed that there was a significant positive correlation between U-NAG/U-?2MG and U-Cd,the relationship between U-Cd and urinary was more obvious than the relationship between U-Cd and U-NAG;Taking U-?2MG as the bio-marker of renal function,the BMDL of U-Cd was 1.19 ?g/g Cr?men?,1.09 ?g/g Cr?women?,1.19 ?g/g Cr?all?,which were lower than the urinary cadmium exposure limit of 5 ?g/g Cr.In the second phase of the study,the excess of S-Cd content was 57.73%,the excess of R-Cd was 17.53%;There was a significant positive correlation between R-Cd and S-Cd.And there was a significant correlation between S-Cd?R-Cd?and U-NAG?U-?2MG,U-Cd?;The data of S-Cd and R-Cd were processed into two categories data,and the BMD/BMDL of S-Cd and R-Cd were estimated by BMDS.Taking U-?2MG as the bio-marker of renal function and health,the BMD/BMDL of S-Cd was 0.18/0.14 mg/kg,and the BMD/BMDL of R-Cd was 0.09/0.06 mg/kg.Conclusion:1.This research successfully confirmed the migration route of cadmium.Cadmium in soil is absorbed by rice roots and enriched in human body.This shows that S-Cd and R-Cd can be used as monitoring indicators of environmental cadmium pollution.2.Taking U-?2MG as the bio-maker of renal function,the the BMDL level of U-Cd was 1.09?1.19 pg/g Cr,which was lower than the U-Cd exposure limit?5 ?g/g Cr?.We suggest that U-?2MG should be adopted as an effective indicator and reduce the threshold of U-Cd appropriately.3.Taking U-?2MG as the bio-maker of renal function,the BMDL of S-Cd was 0.14 mg/kg,the BMDL of R-Cd was 0.06 mg/kg.All of them were lower than our current standards.We suggest that the limits of soil cadmium and rice cadmium standards should be appropriately lowered.
