To Evaluate The Efficacy Of Treating Chronic Localized Eczema With Zanthoxylum Oil

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of treating chronic localized eczema with zanthoxylum oil.Methods 1.A total of 57 patients diagnosed chronic localized eczema enrolled the study,they were included and randomly divided into experimental group and control group.The experimental group was given zanthoxylum oil on the skin,2times/d,the control group was given desonide cream,2times/d.The two groups were all treated for 2 weeks.2.Before treatment and at the end of the second week of treatment,the records were evaluated by pruritus score(VAS),lesion score(EASI),and the adverse reactions were recorded by the same people for the patient,for image acquisition.3.The data obtained were analyzed by two-sided test.The rank sum test was used to compare the data before and after the treatment within and between groups,chi square test was used to compare the count data,the level of significance test was 0.05,P≤0.05,there was statistically significant difference,P≥0.05 for thedifference was not statistically significant,compared the curative effect.Results 1.A total of 55 patients completed the clinical study.The experimental group were cured,markedly effective,improved,invalid number were 1 people,3 people,17 people,7 people,the total efficiency of the group was 75%.Control group were cured,markedly effective,improved,invalid number were 2 people,3 people,16 people,6 people,the total efficiency of the group was 77.8%.The difference between the two groups had no significant difference,P>0.05.2.In the experimental group and the control group,the scores of pruritus score,skin lesion score and symptom score were significantly lower than those of newly diagnosed,P<0.001;Comparison of symptom scores between the experimental group and the control group,P= 0.692>0.05,there was no significant difference between the two groups.3.In the experimental group,the scores of pruritus and skin lesions were respectively decreased from 2.38 ± 0.56,12.27 ± 5.73 to 0.79 ± 0.71,7.77 ± 4.08(P<0.001);In the control group,the scores of pruritus and skin lesions were respectively decreased from 2.41 ± 0.636,11.72 ± 3.24 to 0.76 ± 0.74,7.19 ± 3.48(P<0.001);And the two group after treatment were significantly lower reduced before treatment(P<0.001).4.The symptom scores of experimental group were significantly decreased from 14.64 ± 5.95 to 8.55 ± 4.23 after the treatment,the symptom scores of control group were significantly decreased from 14.13±3.61 to 7.94±4.00,there was no significant differencebetween the two groups(P > 0.05).Conclusion Zanthoxylum oil in the treatment of chronic localized eczema patients can effectively relieve itching and discomfort,reduce the symptoms of skin lesions,and high safety.Zanthoxylum oil has a good promotion value.
