The Clinical Observation Of Modified Chaishao Liujun Granules In Treating Stagnation Of Liver-QI With Deficiency Of The Spleen Type IBS-D

Objective: To observe the clinical effical efficacy and safety of the modified Chaishao Liujun granules which is empirical formula by professor Guixian Li Treats stagnation of liver-QI with deficiency of the spleen type Diarrhea type Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS-D).And discusses the therapeutic mechanism of IBS-D.Methods: 60 cases of the patients which from the spleen and stomach outpatient department in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of traditIonal Chinese medicine were diagnosed with stagnation of liver-QI with deficiency of the spleen type IBS-D.They were randomly divided into treatment Group(Group 1)and control group(Group 2).The Group 1 was given modified Chaoshaoliujun granules and Trimebutine Maleate Capsules combine LactObacillus Complex Capsules for 4 weeks.And the Group 2 was administered With Trimebutine Maleate Capsules combine Lactobacillus Complex Capsules for 4 weeks.The patients reviewed or telephone followup 3 mouths after the end of reatment.Results: 1.The TCM symptom score in Group 1 was reduced more than Group 2.There was statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05),The curative effect of Group 1 was significantly better than the Group 2.2.After the course of treatment,8 cases in Group 1 were cured,and 14 cases markedly effective,5 cases effective,3 cases ineffective,the total effectiverate was 90.0%;4 cases in the Group 2 were cured,7 cases markedly effective,11 cases effective,6 cases ineffective,the total effective rate was 78.6%.There was statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05),the total curative effect in Group 1 was significantly better than Group 2.3.The curative effect of two groups in diarrhea,abdominal pain and distension,belching,languid,mental exhaustion,anepithymia,insomnia,thirsty were statistically significant different(P<0.05),but the effect of borborygmus was not significantly significant between the two groups(P>0.05).4.After the treatment,The total score of IBSSSS and the individual scores of abdominal pain severty and frequency,abdominal distension severty,satisfaction of bowel and life satisfaction in Group 1 was better than Group 2(P<0.05).5.The total score of IBS-QOL and the 8 aspects individual scores in Group 1 was better than Group 2(P<0.05).6.3 months after the end of treatment,5 cases in Group 1 were recurred,and no recurrence in 22 cases,the relapse rate was 18.5%;11 cases in Group 2 were recurred,and no recurrence in 11 cases,the relapse rate was 50.0%.There was statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The relapse rate of Group 1 was obviously lower than the other.Conclusion: The curative effect of modified Chaishao Liujun granules and Trimebutine Maleate Capsules combine Lactobacillus Complex Capsules to treat stagnation of liver-QI with deficiency of the spleen type IBS-D was effective and safe,no adverse reaction,lower relapse rate,Can relieve the symptoms of diarrhea,abdominal pain and distension,belching,languid,mental exhaustion,anepithymia,insomnia,thirsty and improve life quality.
