Meta-analysis Of Ulcerative Colitis Treated With Senling Baizhu Powder Combined With Western Medicine

Objective According to a Meta-Analysis to evaluate the therapeutic effect of ulcerative colitis treated with Senling Baizhu powder combined with Western Medicine.By grasping the current state of treatment,to provide clinical workers the reference value of the treatment of UC.Methods All randomized controlled trials(RCTs)on ulcerative colitis treated with Senling Baizhu powder combined with Western Medicine were collected from CNKI(1982-2015)?Wanfang(2001-2015)?VIP(1989-2015)?Duxiu(1996-2015)?PUBMED(1991-2015)?PLo S(1991-2015)?PMC(1991-2015).According to the Cochrane systematic review methods,two reviewers independently screened the literature,exclusion and inclusion criteria,extracted data,assessed quality from the points of stochastic method?application of blind method?sample content?therapy?statistical method?follow-up and loss to follow-up.Meta-analysis was conducted using Rev Man 5.3 software.Results Through screening five hundred and fifty-eight studies,eliminating duplicate publications and no data available in succession,we selected one hundred and eighty-five studies.By reading titles and abstracts and full text,10 literatures involving eight hundred and eight-four patients were identified.Ten literatures concluding four hundred and forty-seven patients of treatment group and four hundred and thirty-seven patients of control group.The total effective rate,recovery rate and effective rate of 10 studies were homogeneous,therefore fixed effect model was used to conduct Meta analysis.The group treated with Senling Baizhu powder combined with Western Medicine was superior to the control group in total effective rate[OR=3.30,95%CI(2.25,4.82),P<0.01]and recovery rate[OR=2.02,95%CI(1.54,2.65),P<0.01],was similar to the control group in effective rate[OR=1.08,95%CI(0.78,1.50),P=0.64],while was lower than that in the invalid rate[OR=0.30,95%CI(0.21,0.44),P<0.01],the results had significant statistical differences.1 study was conducted to compare recurrence rates,the recurrence rates of treatment group was nineteen point four percent,the recurrence rates of control group was fifty percent.There was significant difference between the two groups(x2 = 5.35,P<0.05).Funnel-plot is asymmetrical,indicating the possible existence of publication bias.Conclusion The therapy with Senling Baizhu powder combined with Western Medicine on ulcerative colitis precede the treated with routine western medicine.But the quality and quantity of the included studies was insufficient,more sufficient quality RCTs with large sample are needed to verify the above conclusion.
