The Clinical Research About Chinese Herbs For Supplementing Qi And Activating Blood Circulation's Influence On Target Arteries Of Patients With Coronary Heart Disease

BackgroundCoronary atherosclerotic heart disease(coronary heart disease,CHD)is one of the highest mortality diseases all around the world and do harm to our health and social development seriously.Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)has become a significant method to treat coronary heart disease and improve the quality of life.Although the technology of CHD treatment is improving constantly,the high mortality of CHD is not changed obviously because of the in-stent restenosis,and so on.ObjectiveThrough the retrospective analysis of clinical data,explore the Chinese herbs for supplementing qi and activating blood circulation(SQABC)'s influence on target arteries of patients with CHD and other effect.MethodsThe study was a retrospective analysis by the database of Chest Pain Center in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine from January 2010 to December 2014.After filtered,systemized,and analyzed the database,we included the patients with coronary angiography(CAG)or PCI twice or more than two times(the interval is 6 months at least).Patients insistently received standard therapy in combination with Chinese herbs of SQABC(Tongguan Capsule)after the first CAG or PCI defined with SQABC group.Patients received only standard therapy defined with Standard therapy group.Through retrospective analysis of two-time laboratory test results and CAG results,we evaluated the Chinese herbs for supplementing qi and activating blood circulation's influence on target arteries of patients with CHD.ResultsWe included 70 patients in all,there were 48 males and 22 females(mean age were 58.35 ±7.04).SQABC group was 39 patients(55.7%)and Standard therapy group was 31 patients(44.3%).There were no statistical differences in demographic data,personal history,past medical history,laboratory test results before the first CAG and Gensini score of coronary artery between the two groups(P>0.05).However,the Gensini score of SQABC group was obviously lower than the Standard therapy group(P<0.05).What' s more,there was a significant difference in in-stent plaque between two groups(SQABC group was 12.8%;Standard therapy group was 35.5%,P<0.05).Two groups could lower total cholesterol(TC),but SQABC group was more remarkable(P<0.05).In addition,Chinese herbs of SQABC could improve left ventricular ejection fraction and stroke volume obviously.ConclusionPatients with CHD(syndrome of deficiency qi and blood stasis)took Chinese herbs for supplementing qi and activating blood circulation after PCI might effectively reduce the in-stent plaque.What's more,it might could cure dyslipidemia and improve ejection function of hearts.
