The Clinical Observation Of The Adjustable Brace With Gasbag Used In The Treatment Of The Stable Compressibility Fractures Of Single Thoracolumbar Vertebrae

Objective:This research aims to study clinical efficacy of stable compressibility fractures of single thoracolumbar vertebrae by adjustable brace with gasbag,which provides the theoretical foundation for clinical treatment.Methods:During 2015.11-2016.11,according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,60 patients diagnosed with stable compressibility fractures of single thoracolumbar vertebrae were selected from Orthopedics ward of Quanzhou TCM Hospital.60 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups.There are 30 cases in treatment group treated by wearing adjustable brace with gasbag,including 11 males and 19 females,with an average age of 47.57 years(range,19-76 years);there are 30 cases in control group treated by moving around with ordinary brace after pillow therapy for 6 weeks,including 13 males and 17 females,with an average age of 49.50 years(range,21-75 years).Two groups of patients do early function exercise,which include five-point brace exercises,four-point brace exercises,three-point brace exercises in early period and do prone position stretching after 4 weeks.All the cases should take thoracolumbar X-ray films at admission,4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks after the treatment,record VAS,injured vertebral height loss of vertebral body edge,Cobb's Angle,Chinese Oswestry disability index before and after the treatment at all at all time points.Through the statistical analysis,come to the conclusion.Results:All patients(24 males and 36 females)with the follow-up of more than 3 months are presented in this study except 3 patients(treatment group:1 males and 1 females;control group:1 females).By the statistical tests,there was no significantly difference before the treatment between the two groups in VAS,injured vertebral height loss of vertebral body edge,Cobb's Angle,Chinese Oswestry disability index,P>0.05,with comparability.By the statistical tests,there was significantly statistical difference at 1 week,4 weeks,8 weeks,12 weeks after the treatment between the two groups in VAS,injured vertebral height loss of vertebral body edge,Cobb's Angle,Chinese Oswestry disability index,P<0.05.Clinical efficacy:according to the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese Medicine from?Criteria of diagnosis and therapeutic effect of diseases and syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine?·23 cases were obviously effective,5 cases were effective and 0 case was invalid in the treatment group,and the rate of effective cases was 100%,while in the control group,15 case was obviously effective,12 cases were effective and 2 cases were invalid,the rate of effective cases was 93.1%,P<0.05,Significantly statistical difference was found between the treatment group and control group.Conclusion:The treatment of stable compressibility fractures of single thoracolumbar vertebrae by adjustable brace with gasbag is definite curative effect,the patient in the treatment group can early get up and move around,adjustable brace has clinicalspread value because of its merits of convenient wearing and simple operation.
