Objective: Parkinson’s disease is a kind of nervous system degenerative disease. It is particularly common in the older adults, with static tremor, muscle stiffness,a grim, bradykinesia and pose obstacles as the main clinical symptoms. In recent years, the incidence of Parkinson’s disease show an younger trend, and the patient with Parkinson’s disease over the age of 65 accounts for more than 1% in our country, which brought serious economic burden. In addition to the above typical movement symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, the non-movement symptoms of it are often easily ignored.Cognitive dysfunction is one of the most common non-movement symptoms of PD.But a lot of PD patients develop into dementia later, which seriously affects the patients’ living and brings heavy burden to their families and the society. For the PD patients with cognitive dysfunction,it is significant to detect and diagnose early. We can take treatment measures timely and effectively to delay the PD dementia symptoms and improving the quality of their life.In fact,we still lack of unified standards to diagnose cognitive dysfunction from PD.There has been some debate in clinicians. This study have evaluated the value of auditory Event related potential-p300 and Montreal cognitive assessment scale in diagnosing cognitive dyfunction from Parkinson’s disease,it aims to provide reference for clinical diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease. Methods: Forty PD patients(in the study group)and 40 healthy elderly(in the control group)were selected and matched in age and education level.According to Hoehn-Yahr stage of PD,the PD patients were conducted into the 1st phase group which contains a total number of 18 cases and the 2nd phase group which includes a whole quantity of 22 cases.P300 and Mo CA were conducted in the PD group and the normal control group, the 1st phase group and the 2nd phase group of PD patients. All the statistical data were used analyzed using the SPSS 17.0 statistical software. The results were used for the analysis and comparison using the independent sample t-test.Results:(1)In the P300 test, the PD patients group had prolonged P300 latency(346.78 ±20.38ms)than the control group(320.53±11.50ms);statistically significant(t=7.10,P<0.05).The PD patients group had decreased amplitude(3.93±1.35UV)than the control group(5.88±1.67UV);statistically significant(t=-5.75,P<0.05).In the Mo CA scale test,PD patients had lower scores in Mo CA scale overall scores 、visual space and executive function scores、memory test scores(23.25±0.84,3.38±0.49,2.88±0.76)than the healthy elderly(24.73±1.48,4.05±0.7,3.50±0.72);Statistically significant(t=-5.47;t=-4.93;t=-3.80,P<0.05).Other test results of Mo CA scale had no statistical difference(P>0.05).(2)In the P300 test, the 2nd phase of PD patients group had prolonged P300 latency(353.50 ±14.45ms)than the 1st phase of PD patients group(338.56 ± 23.76ms);statistically significant(t=-2.45,P<0.05).The 2nd phase of PD patients group had decreased amplitude(3.28±0.96UV)than the 1st phase group(4.45±1.41UV);statistically significant(t=-3.02,P<0.05).In the Mo CA scale test, the 2nd phase of PD patients had lower scores in Mo CA scale overall scores 、visual space and executive function scores 、memory test scores(23.32±0.78,3.32±0.48,2.64±0.80)than the 1st phase group(24.86±0.49,3.44±0.51,3.17±0.62);Statistically significant(t=-1.58;t=0.81;t=2.32,P<0.05).Other test results of Mo CA scale had no statistical difference(P>0.05).Conclusion: Combined application of P300 and Mo CA scale can provide evidence for early diagnosis of cognitive dysfunction in PD patients.
