Background and purpers: To compare the efficacy and safety of radical hysterectomy combined with adjuvant radiotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy for patients with stage ?B cervical cancer(FIGO).Methods: a retrospective analysis of our hospital 219 cases of patients with FIGO ?B cervical cancer clinical data of 74 cases underwent radical hysterectomy combined with postoperative radiotherapy(operation group),145 patients received concurrent chemotherapy and radiotherapy(radiotherapy group),two groups were compared the recurrence rate, mortality rate, progression free survival and overall survival and treatment of complications related to the difference. Results: Recurrence rate,progression-free survival and overall survival had no significant difference(all P>0.05).Incidence rate of acute grade 3-4 gastrointestinal reactions and grade 3-4 lower extremity lymphedema of surgery group were significantly higher than those of radiotherapy group(all P<0.05).The incidence rate of neutropenia, anemia, chronic radiation enteritis and chronic radiation cystitis between the two groups had no significant difference.Multivariate analysis confirmed that tumor size and histological type was independent prognostic factors for overall survival. Conclusion: Efficacy of radical surgery plus adjuvant radiotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy for FIGO ?B cervical cancer was comparable, while related adverse reaction rate was relatively lower.
