Objective:To investigate the relationship between IgG subclass sertlm levels and autoimmune diseases. Methods:IgG subclass serum levels from 70 pSS patients,160 RA patients,1 00 SLE patients,104 AS patients and 50 healthy subjects as control group was determined by immuno-scatter turbidmetry. The difference of IgG subclass ditribution between AID patients and healthy subjects was analyzed.Combined with the clinical information of AID patients, the difference of IgG subclasses distribution in AID patients with different characteristics was analyzed. Results:In pSS patients, the average levels of serum IgGl,IgG3 were significantly higher, while the IgG2,IgG4 levels were significantly lower, compared with that of healthy subjects. In RA patients, the average levels of serum IgGl,IgG3 were significantly while the IgG2,IgG4 levels were significantly lower, compared with that of healthy subjects. In SLE patients, the average levels of serum IgGl,IgG3 were significantly higher, while the IgG2 levels were significantly lower, compared with that of healthy subjects. In PBC patients, the average level of serum IgG3 was significantly higher. The IgG subclass distribution was abnormal in AID patients whose IgG serum level was normal, compared with the healty subjects. The IgG subclass distribution was different indifferent AID patients. In pSS patients, the IgGl level was significantly higher than other AID patients. There were also some significant difference in the IgG subclaSs distribution between patients with different clinical characteristics.A significant positive correlation between the IgG 1 level and ESR in pSS patients was identified, and a significant negative correlation between the IgG2 level and24 hUPRO was also identified. Conclusion:A characteristic IgG subclass distribution abnomality exists in AID patients, compared with the healthy subjects. The IgG subclass distribution was also diferent between AID patients with specific characteristic or not. There were some correlation between the IgG subclasses and clinical characteristics. This study also shows that pSS,RA,SLE and AS is a kind of autoimmunedisease which is different from IgG4-RD.
