Objective:1.Correlation between anxiety about the brain function and the incidence of IBS;2.By observing the effect of acupuncture on brain functional activity in patients with IBS to explore the mechanism of acupuncture treatmentMethods:15 healthy volunteers were selected as control group,15 cases of IBS patients for acupuncture treatment group,The patients in the treatment group were treated with 3 times a week for 6 weeks,"regulating spleen and strengthening the spleen" acupuncture treatment. Before and after treatment, the patients in the treatment group were treated with 1 resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI),The control group ongly received 1 resting-state fMRI.To observe the changes of patients with IBS-SSS score and HAMA score before and after acupuncture,Observation the changes of resting state brain brain function at different frequencies in IBS patients and controls. The frequencies of significant differences were selected and compared before and after acupuncture treatment in patients of brain function changes with the frequency, finally, correlation analysis was made between the brain area of interest and the Hamilton anxiety scale, the difference between the two groups before and after treatments were observed.Result:1.Before the treatment and control group, with the main effect of frequency band, there is no difference in the whole brain but the main effect of the group had significant difference, brain is the right middle temporal gyrus, left middle frontal gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus, right superior frontal gyrus, anterior cingulate gyrus(P<0.05).The activity of IBS in the right middle temporal gyrus is lower than that healthy subjects, but the activity in left middle frontal gyrus, right middle frontal gyrus, right superior frontal gyrus, anterior cingulate gyrus is higher than that healthy subjects. The brain regions with interactive effects are mainly distributed in the right middle temporal gyrus and the left posterior central gyrus,Compared with the healthy control group, the nerve activity of the experimental group is higher than the control group(P<0.05).2.Before and after acupuncture treatment, the IBS-SSS total score, abdominal pain, abdominal pain duration, defecation satisfaction and life impact of four score are evaluated by chi square test(P<0.01),there was highly statistically significant; Before and after treatment, the degree of abdominal distension is compared with P>0.05,there is no statistical significance. Before and after acupuncture treatment, the HAMA score of IBS patients was significantly different by paired sample T test(P<0.01).3.Slow-4 band, before and after acupuncture treatment the patient’s brain function differences,In the left middle frontal gyrus and left thalamus, the nerve activity decreased after treatment(P<0.05),the left superior temporal gyrus was higher than before treatment(P<0.05).In the slow-5 band, the neural activity of the left anterior cingulate gyrus was lower than that before treatment(P<0.05),the left superior temporal gyrus was higher than that before treatment(P<0.05).4.Slow-4 and slow-5 band, before the treatment there was a positive correlation between regions of interest in the left superior temporal gyrus, left thalamus ALFF values and HAMA,there was a negative correlation between regions of interest in the left middle frontal gyrus, left anterior cingulate gyrus, left superior frontal gyrus ALFF values and HAMA.After the treatment there was a positive correlation between regions of interest in the left superior temporal gyrus,,left anterior cingulate gyrus ALFF values and HAMA,there was a negative correlation between regions of interest in the left thalamus, left middle frontal gyrus, left superior frontal gyrus ALFF values and HAMA.Conclusion:1.Acupuncture of regulating mind and strenthening spleen therapy can improve IBS patients with abdominal pain, defecation satisfaction and other gastrointestinal symptoms, can improve the nervous and psychological symptoms of IBS patients, can improve the quality of life of patients.2.There were significant differences in brain activity between IBS patients and normal subjects, the frontal lobe, anterior cingulate gyrus arid temporal lobe were related to the central nervous system, which controls the mental and cognitive functions.3.Acupuncture of regulating mind and strenthening spleen therapy can improve the brain activity in patients with IBS under different frequency bands, among them,slow-4,slow-5 based,.And the IBS patients with anxiety symptoms may be related to the dysfunction of the left frontal gyrus, temporal lobe and anterior cingulate gyrus,Acupuncture may play an important role in the treatment of the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal nervous system through the activity of the brain nerve. In addition, before and after treatment there is a correlation between IBS patients and the brain areas relateated to emotion and HAMA scores, different activated brain areas and HAMA was different.
