| ObjectiveTo study the clinical effect of Gusongbao on Postmenopausal osteoporosis patients on the levels of β-CTX,PINP,N-MID-OT and 25(OH)D.MethodsWe chose 60 patients who were hospitalized from Sep.1st.2015 to Jun.30th.2016 and with post menopausal osteoporosis in the second Department of orthopedics of Guangdong Province Troditional Chinese Medicine Hospital.They were divided into two groups:treatment group and control group.30 cases(treatment group)were given Gusongbao and caltrate D and the other 30 cases(control group)given Zoledronic acid and caltrate D.Compare the levels of β-CTX,PINP,N-MID-OT and 25(OH)D and bone mineral density(BMD)before and after treatment.Results60 female patients were included in this study(30 patients were tres ted with Gusongbao and 30 patients were treated with Zoledronic acid).Th e average age is 65.47 ± 9.83 years.The demographic features,the level o f Ca2+,25(OH)D,creatinine,creatinine clearance rate,bone metabolic marker s(PINP、β-CTX、N-MID),and T-score of lumbar vertebra and left femoral n eck before treatment had no significant difference between the two group s(P>0.05).So the baselines were relatively well balanced.In the Gusongbao group,the levels of Ca2+,25(OH)D and PINP had significant difference before and after 3 months of treatment(P<0.05).The levels of Ca2+,25(OH)D,PINP and β-CTX had significant difference before and after 6 months of treatment(P<0.05).No significant differences were shown neither in the level ofβ-CTX and N-MID before and after 3 months of treatment nor the level of N-MID before and after 3 months of treatment.Significant differences were shown both in the T-score of left femoral neck and lumbar vertebra before and after the treatment.In the Zoledronic acid group,the levels of Ca2+,25(OH)D,PINP and N-MID had no significant differences before and after 3 months of treatment.The levels ofp-CTX had significant difference before and after 3 months of treatment(P<0.05).The levels of 25(OH)D,PINP and N-MID had no significant difference before and after 6 months of treatment(P<0.05),while the levels of Ca2+ and β-CTX had no significant differences before and after 6 months of treatment.Significant difference was shown in terms of the T-score of left femoral neck before and after the treatment,but not in terms of the T-score of lumbar vertebra.ConelusionCompared to Zoledronic acid,Gusongbao had considerably effectiveness in improving the BMD,the level of Ca2+ and bone metabolic markers which have intinimate connection to those patients with postmenopausal osteoporosis and can reduce the occurrence of fracture. |
