| ObjectiveResting state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rsfMRI)was used in this research to analyze the influence on brain function in patients with hemiplegia of acute or subacute stage after subcortical infarction treated by multiple acupuncture points. Our aim was to explore the neural mechanisms that clinical common groups of acupuncture in treating ischemic stroke may play a role,so as to provide the possible theoretical basis for the curative effect of acupuncture on hemiplegia after stroke.MethodsThe research had been approved by the ethics committee of the second affiliated hospital of guangdong province in guangzhou university of Traditional Chinese medicine hospital(batch number Y2016-013-01).A total of 12 subcortical stroke cases who were consistent with research criterias during treatment in inpatient in July 2014 to December 2016 in Guangdong Province Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital were collected. These patients were randomly divided into verum acupuncture treatment group and sham acupoint control group and treated with 10 times respectively of acupuncture treatment. After that the resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging scans and the function rating scale of Bathel and Fugl-Meyer were performed before and after treatment. We used the analysis method that regional homogeneity of the fMRI to compare changes in brain function and the software SPSS22.0 for statistical analysis, results take P<0.05 that was statistically significant.ResultsThe clinical behavior statistics analysis:the intragroup comparision in the way of FMA and MBI,both the treatment group and the control group were statistically significant(P<0.05);in the comparision of intergroup between treatment group and control group,FMA and MBI scores had no statistical significance(P>0.05).As for the rsfMRI data analysis results:in the treatment group, based on analysis of ReHo method of fMRI,it was with a significant rise in ReHo values in the left Orbital Gyrus, the left Middle Frontal Gyrus, the left Medial Frontal Gyrus, the left Sub-Gyral,the left Inferior Parietal Lobule and the right caudate nucleus area and with a falling in ReHo values in the bilateral Middle Occipital Gyrus, the right Precuneus. In the control group, there was a rise in ReHo vales in the left Inferior Frontal Gyrus, the left Middle Frontal Gyrus, the right Superior Frontal Gyrus areas and with a falling in ReHo values in the left Lingual Gyrus, the right Cerebellum Posterior Lobe.Conclusion1.It showed significant activation in multiple brain functional areas and in the contralateral cerebral hemisphere between the two groups. We speculated that acupuncture point acupuncture maybe play a role that the reconstruction and regulation of the brain functional reorganization based on the areas of frontal brain regions,Inferior Parietal Lobule, caudate nucleus and that the activation of contralateral regions might be more beneficial to the recovery of dysfunction.2.Through the comprasion before and after acupuncture treatment(verum acupuncture stimuli and sham cupuncture stimuli)about the subacute period of stroke patients, both the sores of two groups(verm acupoint group or sham acupuncture group)were significantly improved at upper limb motor dysfunction as well as the overall ability of daily living, but due to the limitation of the less sample size and short observation period,it had not yet found significant differences of intergroup. |
