| Objective: To compare the clinical efficacy of big-circle acupuncture method with conventional acupuncture and electro-acupuncture in treating depression with liver-qi stagnation syndromes, and confirm the feasiblity ang superiority of the method. Methods: All 72 patients were diagnosed with mild to moderate Depression with liver-qi stagnation syndromes in the Department of Acupuncture of The Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from December 2014 to December 2016,according to the different treatment methods, were randomly divided into the three groups, each group had 24 cases, the conventional acupuncture group of 23 cases as group A which with 1 case fall off,the elctro-acupuncture group of 21 cases as group B which with three cases fall off,and the big-circle group of 22 cases as group C which with two cases fall off.In group A,we applied conventional reinforcing-reducing twisting technique to the acupoints. In group B,the acupoints were the same as group A,we use electro-acupuncture at yintang and baihui, other acupoints were applied with conventional uniform reinforcing-reducing twisting technique. In group C,the first step was the same as group A,then the cases were applided with big-circle acupuncture from shaoshang to dadun, once a day, bilateral alternating. All groups were treated once a day, seven days for a course of treatment and continuous treatment for 6 courses. All the three groups were observed with HAMD(HAMD-17)scores,SDS scores and TCM syndromes before and after treatment. All patients could fitted into the group standard and were under their permission, tolerated acupuncture treatment.Using SPSS22.0 for data processing, and with mean ± standard deviation to express the measurement data.Numeration data were used with x2test;using measures data analysis of variance to compare the pretherapy measurement data of three groups,t test pairwise comparisons;the difference variables of Pretherapy and post-treatment in each group analysis by paired t test;using non parametric rank sum test to Compare with the curative effect of three groups;P <0.05 was considered statistically significant evaluation of the parameter changes, appraise the value of each parameter.Results:1.HAMD total scores comparison:comparison in groups: the HAMD total scores of the three groups after treatment were lower than before treatment, the group A was decreased significantly and had significant statistical difference(P<0.01),the group B and C had statistical difference(P<0.05).The comparison between groups: the value of group A and B has no statistic difference(P=0.618,P>0.05);the group A and C has significant difference(P=0.005,P<0.01);the group B and C has significant difference(P=0.02,P<0.05).2.SDS total scores comparison:comparison in groups: the SDS total scores of the three groups after treatment were lower than before treatment, the group A、B and C were decreased significantly and had statistical difference(P<0.05).The comparison between groups: the value of group A and B has significant difference(P=0.008,P<0.01);the group A and C has significant difference(P=0.001,P<0.01);the group B and C has no statistic difference(P>0.05,P=0.306).3.TCM total scores comparison:comparison in groups: the TCM total scores of the three groups after treatment were lower than before treatment, the three groups were decreased significantly and had significant difference(P<0.05).The comparison between groups: the value of group A and B has significant difference(P=0.029,P<0.01);the group A and C has significant difference(P=0.001,P<0.01);the group B and C has significant difference(P=0.046,P<0.05).4.The comparison of total effective rate:the total effective rate of group A was 81.82%,higher than 71.43% of group B and 65.22% of group C,the difference had statistical meaning(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.The curative effect of big-circle needling technique combine manual acupuncture is significant superior than conventional acupuncture and electro-acupuncture treatment. This method can significantly improve the symptoms of patients with depression, mental retardation, sleep disorder and so on.2.The big-circle needling technique can stimulate the qi of acupuncture through twelve Jing-well,adjust the body meridians and the balance of yin and yang,so as to achieve the effect of soothing liver-qi stagnation and wake up the brain, and fully proved that the big-circle has great clinical significance in treating depression. |
